Well, it's about time I rejoined the thread. I've been sitting here quietly for far too long. The catch is, I don't have a lot to say...

Getting back to the original post - the last two years have been full of ups and downs, but there's no particular defining event that sticks in the memory. There's been a bit of domestic travel, the acquisition of this laptop , and several medical emergencies in the family . Life looks like it's starting to settle into a civilised and placid routine now. Once upon a time I'd have dreaded this much peace and quiet, but I think I'm getting to an age where I can see the merits in sitting quietly and watching the world rather than trying to do everything at once. I must be growing up, or something.

sit quiet by all means, but don't grow up, people expect more from you then. Age is only co's some moron watched sun/moon and started counting..It just don't mean a thing

i like me peace and quiet at times.. especially of late while i've not been well.. but i don't intend to grow up... ever!!!!

Hey folks, today's little wind up was....I got my water supply cut off! What jolly fun! This was due to the fact that my charming ex KEITH, previous inhabitant of MY house, had *forgotten* to mention that he hasn't bothered paying the water bill for a year.

I sat there idly watching a pleasant little man in a charming blue boiler suit tinkering around outside, but he didn't ring the bell so i just thought "oh, how sweet, someone doing maintenance, nothing to bother me about" Till i turned the tap on

Luckily, dear Patrick proved yet agin to be an & phoned them & explained & little blue man came back & tuirned it on again. And went away armed with the new address of creep features...after this i may pass said address around to other folks he owes money to i think.

Hey, i'm getting quite attached to this random display of colours on beast screen, i may rechristen it "the Chameleon". Karma version of course.

I remember when Mk2 and I first got together, we were living in a static caravan, it was winter time and I was underneath the caravan with a electric paint stripping gun, thawing out the frozen water line going up into our van.

I saw a pair of feet at our door, Mk2 was away to the shop trying to get change for the laundry.

I shouted out "who is it" a rather confused voice answered, "Ive come to cut off your gas supply?

I replied, "you will a time trying that, were on bottled gas

Weather-wise, it's finally getting cold here! I always love it at first, until I get tired of rain and get the mood of a wet cat . Right now it's still fun, with the wind howling outside and rain all day and the radiators nice and warm. I'd make myself a hot if I weren't on a diet...

Ah, Smudger, you bring back all the nostalgia of when we were looking after mobile homes...the utter joy when the happy holidaymaker bangs on the door at 11pm & plaintively squeaks the dreaded phrase "Er, me gas has gone." Hauling round the bottle, only to find "Er, i fink it's a red one, not a blue one mate"

The dreaded liitle blue man has just reappered, in the proces of getting MY water back on, they have managed to cut of the neighbours supply!

Er....if in spite of all this you'd still like to visit, Lady P you are most welcome! I love the phrase "mood of a wet"! Though Mooon doesn't seem to realise she actually is a & supposed to dislike water, she spends many happy hours paddling around the sink, bath & (if you forget to put the lid down) toilet! I have given up on wiping off, the process of doing so proves to be so fascinating it means even more! I reckon i will just have to wait till she grows out of it. Designer bathroom this ain't!!!
