Well, I've done all the cleaning up. Washing up is done, house is tidy again. Now for an and a ciggy....

Daz, got hedge cut this aft' and just got stuff away and downpourall of 5 minutes of hail/rain/thunder and lightning

Hmm no rain here Animal, although the forecast says 'risk of thundershowers' both today & tonight and 'periods of rain' for tomorrow. We shall see...

It's been a very lazy day here, we have watched the Tour de France, wow, a French cycle race in England, this stage won by an Aussie! Excellent stuff! Neither me nor le viking are sporty types, but the TV coverage here was fantastic, i found out loads of stuff i actually didn't know about "my" country & it was totally brilliant to see all those people lining the route & cheering away; how great to see a positive image of UK for once! As viking said "Usually all the French people think is "uh oh, London, terror attack again?" He was actually very impressed with the aerial views of the English countryside & so was i....OK, luckily it was a nice sunny day; bit different on a grey & gloomy one!

And that guy who won this stage, Robbie Mc Ewan: well, what a character! He came off his bike earlier in the race, but did he give up? Did he hell! Went on to win the first stage in great style, good on yer mate!!! bet you are proud eh Peeb!

It seemed a bizarre idea to have a tour de *France* start in UK, but actually, i can see the sense in it now, giggling over La Marseillaise being played on Tower Bridge, seeing massive advertising banners for "our" supermarkets en route, "So when the tourists arrive at least they know where the shops are!" I wonder if the French part will have banners for Tescos?
