Dolfrog's Mission
Dolfrog is the ID name I have been using now for over 7 years for emails, web sites etc. I am now called dolfrog by many.
I come from a family, that has had generations of Auditory Procesing Disorder(APDs)sufferers.
But I only heard about CAPD as it was then, when my eldest son was summarily diagnosed as being CAPD by a Consultant Peadiatricean. That was 7 years ago, and my son was 10 years old, me I was 44 and had a disability.
I had to wait until we could get online to find any information about CAPD. Most of the information was in the USA, and some came from Australia.
I created my first web site some short time later. Now at http://www.dolfrog.com" >http://www.dolfrog.com which tries to provide the best internet links for APD and other related Invisible Disabilities.
During my struggles with my sons primary and secondary Schools of recent years i developed another web site of links to the agencies and orgasnisations which clould provide help to those trying to find help for their children with learning disabilities in the UK Education system. (This can be accessed from the domain above)
I have a long running battle with the UK authorites regarding the definition of learning disabilities, which should include dyslexia, add, adhd, sid, spd, autism and many more. My web site which has links pages per disability is at http://www.ldlinks.org.uk" >http://www.ldlinks.org.uk .
I am now one of the founding members of APDUK http://www.apduk.org" >http://www.apduk.org, which is a voluntary organisation, seeking Registered Charity Status. Our aim is to promote a greater understanding of APD in the UK,and to lobby for research into the provision of UK tests for the diagnosis and care of APD in the UK.
