Why not go and live with your mum and get your social worker to support you. Your mum needs you and you need your mum and hopefully there are some day centres so you can get some "ME" time away from caring for your mum.
Love From Tony.

It's odd how psychologists tend to assume that the patients know nothing about their subject. Surely if you've got an illness, you're going to try to read up on it as much as possible. My psychologist's like that. Pompous as all hell.
I've got a sister-in-law who works in this place where deeply troubled people are assisted by health workers to live independantly. Some of these people share flats, but if a person is thought to be violent, they have a place to themselves and always have at least one health worker with them, even at night--or so I understand it. It seems like very poor management to me, to allow this woman to keep harassing you.

Hi Stealth, it sounds like you are living in a very unfair situation. I really hope they take all attacks into account when it comes to this woman. I also hope you have some good news soon, about accommodation.

Milla, a phlebotomist is a nurse that works with needles, more or less. They're the ones that take your blood for bloodwork.
In high school, I was in the emergency room feeling like my stomach had exploded. They had no idea what was wrong with me and were doing all sorts of embarrassing tests, including bloodwork. The nurse that took mine first off was very rude, and then while she was getting my blood jostled the needle in my arm. That really hurt! I did my best not to cry out, but failed, and she said, "Oh, don't be a baby! No one likes this!"

Moving back in with my mother will make the last 17 months a complete waste of my time and money. Part of the reason for moving out was that this place is an unsuitable place to live. The other is damaging impact of being in my 20s and living with my mother. I love my mother because she is my mum. But we are not friends. We have not been close for a long time. Partly because of the physical and psychocological abuse.
Milla bed side manner is a phrase for the manner, attitude and approach a medical proffesional has with a patient. A good bedside manner is being open friendly and approachable. A bad bedside manner is being patronising, arrogant, distant and generally not very helpful.

I hope they find some where else for Lorna. It does sound to me like some kind of antisocial disorder rather than anxiety. I don't think you should be forced to move. I know she's been trying to provoke you into hitting her and you've always practiced walking away in the past. You shouldn't have to move.

Just thinking about going back there makes me feel sick. But I will go back and not allow her to grind me down.

Yay, good for you, Stealth--there's bravery for you. I hope she gets kept out of your way from now on.

I don't quite understand what NERd is. Is it some kind of shared accommodation?
Surely you're not the only one to have witnessed her anti-social behaviour. It must be fairly widely known about.
I'm off to bed now. Hugs and sweet dreams, Stealth.

NERd is New England Road. A Sussex Oakleaf Housing Association "independant living" project. Where I and 3 other's including Lorna reside. The "support-workers" have.

Is there a more appropriate place where Lorna can be sent?

Stealth "Jack" Azathoth Posted Nov 14, 2004
SOHA is a bad joke, they have been talking about moving her to a more appropriate place for some time, but she is still around.

Thanks Scandrea and Stealth for explaining - not only the bedside of things, but also your housing situation, Stealt!
Really, Lorna seems to be the one who must go!!! Is there anywhere I can send a letter?
Hafta go fold some laundry - be back later.

Stealth, one thing that occurs to me from reading the first LED of this thread is that I for one would have no idea how hard was 'too hard' if I hit someone *because I never have* hit anyone. This might be something worth discussing with your solicitor, if Lorna takes it further.
Have you considered finding self-defence classes? Loads of benefits there apart from the simple self-defence aspect of the things.

Yes, that may be a point worth making.
I've not considered such classes in a long time.
I think if I'm going to get back to taking classes I'll be looking at improving my qualifications.

Scandrea Posted Nov 14, 2004
Stealth, a good self defense class might be worth looking into. The ones I've been in have done nothing but good for me. I learned to defend myself, be assertive, gotten physically healthier, and gained much more confidence.
