Cala lilies posted @ http://www.flickr.com/photos/edwardthebonobo/

(mudhooks - you're welcome to re-post in the gallery)

I imagine it would be very difficult *not* to get one or two decent images from a cala lily.

Monsieur Bonobo,

I have selected a number of images.... Lovely, as usual. I have added pdante's image and yours will be up shortly.

I also uploaded larger sizes of the ones I had before. When I first uploaded them, I didn't see the large jpg versions.

Had no idea about this feature. Presumably you can't change the size *after* the photos are uploaded.

Going off to check this out . . .

Flickr's amazing! You put in your basic jpeg and it automatically re-sizes it for display in different places. You can still get at the original for downloading or manipulation. Basically...it acts as a storage facility. This is unlike some printing sites - eg ofoto. They let you print from the original jpeg, but don't show it in its original size or let you download. In other words - it's no good if you lose your original from local media.

By the way...I liked the abandoned resort set. Here's a suggestion - how about colour balancing a handful of them so that they give a matched set? I love the brick-like red in img 00316. By clever channel mixing, you could probably treat a few so that all the reds look like that and the green is taken up a little. You could even mount prints in the same frame.

Maybe a technicolor filter would also work? Not so it gives bright, bright colours - you could tone it down afterwards. But this could give a suitable 'abandoned Coney Island' effect. No?

I like the idea of matched sets of photos. I'm planning to treat some of my other calas to come out that way.
