Sci-fi "geeks"
When you tell people that you are into Science fiction, they tend to look at you like you've suddenly grown a third eye, and call you all manner of nasty names like "geek", "nerd", and the suchlike. But not all sci-fi fans are like that. Most of us are normal people, some are students, some are working. And some of us are girls! I am a 28 year-old mature student, studying English Lit., Drama, Music Theory and Media studies at college, and I just happen to be a fan of Star Trek, Hitch-hikers Guide to the Galaxy, Red Dwarf, Terry Pratchett, Stargate SG1...need I go on? So the next time you hear someone go on about Science Fiction, they may be as ordinary as the next man or woman...I say MAY.....
