It might scare them out of reading the rest of it. 
Actually, they have been quite nice and rather patient about reading it in installments (as I finish writing each bit).
I have the ending sketched out already. What's left is writing my way to it.

I'm just a bit rushed so I didn't specifically mention the regional researchers' groups...but then I thought you could pop in & do that! Oh, "staying the course" as they say. Nothing too special really - flying to the west coast this coming Sun., for a cruise up to Alaska.
