Back?
Posted Nov 30, 2009
Well, I've wandered back again. Am I here to stay? Dunno. But I'm here for now.
Nasty head cold, trying to go into bronchitis. May have to break down and go to the clinic tomorrow if it doesn't ease up overnight.
Nerve issues have improved a fair amount. My hand and arm still aren't 100% (maybe 75%) but that's better than I was for a long time! I can function pretty normally for the most part, as long as I'm careful.
Turned 42 yesterday.
Still working for State Parks. The state budget is a shambles, they're looking at furloughing all employees. But, it's a job.
Guess that's it for the moment...

Greetings
Posted Jun 2, 2005
Hello, all.
Finally got motivated to be sociable for a bit, so here I am.
I still don't have job issues fully resolved. They say they're taking my badge, but letting me keep my park. But I don't have it in writing yet, a year later.
My hand is still jacked. Went for nerve block injections today; two in my wrist, one in my elbow.
So, won't claim to be a barrel of laughs, but I'm hanging in there. Hope everybody's doing well...

Anyone Still Remember Me?
Posted Jan 15, 2005
Hello, everybody...
A few of you may have noticed that I dropped off of the face of the there for a while. I've been in a pretty bleak place for a long time, haven't felt like I was fit company for man nor beast.
But, I'm trying to make a comeback...
In a nutshell:
*My hand/arm are still . I go see a hand specialist at the end of the month.
*The folks I work for plan to let me keep my job, just take away my law enforcement authority. I can live with that.
*I still live with Roxie and Buck. idgit got eaten, but BooBoo has taken her place.
Hope things are going well for everybody, and that I'll hear from folks soon...

STILL waiting
Posted Jul 5, 2004
Well, it's been nearly a month now. I'm still employed, but I still haven't heard whether my agency is going to improve my law enforcement waiver and let me keep my park
I'm also done with physical therapy. My insurance company told me to f*** off. So, I'm left with partial use of my "strong" hand, a career in doubt, and the continuing potential for being left homeless.
Perhaps that will explain why I've been making myself scarce lately...

Waiting
Posted Jun 21, 2004
Well, on June 9th I sent a memo up my chain of command requesting a waiver from doing law enforcement. It's the 20th, and I'm still waiting for an answer. It's making me insane, but I guess every day without a pink slip is a good day...
