I'm not a hardcore racing fan, but have followed it casually as long as I can remember. One of my fond memories of childhood is watching the races with my mom!
If you have info, I'm all ears, but like I said, I won't be betting, so it's not critical. Just curious and interested!
It's midnight here, mate, and I'm off to . Catch ya later!
good nite

the moment you have been waiting for,as a welshman thousands of miles away, and not being to hot on east coast racing ,you any better? santa anita is is a very fast track where anything drawn eight or higher needs to be a world beater, hold up horses or stretch runners to yanks, good so far? are at a huge disavantage. fast, well drawn and the abilty to run handy is paramount also local track knowledge is vital. first up THE CLASSIC;Form suggests TEN MOST WANTED to reverse classic form with several of these. his run and win in the Travers was brilliant. TURF; SULAMANI pride of europe this horse will not be beat, showed his metal in the million.MILE;shadwell winner PERFECT SOUL to beat us thou six perfections could go close if the french send her over.SPRINT; if this was in new york then SHAKE YOUR DOWN would be the call but the vote goes to BLUESTHESTANDARD a claimer who has gone through the grades to become the all american hero a huge price is on offer for this one.JUVIN FILL;HALFBRIDLED. JUVENILE;CUVEE. BREEDERS CUP;ISLINGTON one for us this filly has been working exceptionally at home and with the breaks could run a big race.DISTAFF;GOT KOKO an improving sort and another one for america. well thats all my hard work done, hope they all run and have some fun with them im confident of a profit but i know that your not concerned so tell your friends SULAMNI AND ISLINGTON.Hope you enjoyed that, what you up to?

You're a fountain of information, thanks! I'll have to take that info and do some poking around of my own...
Not up to much at all tonight. Watching tv, hootoo-ing when it'll let me in.

by all accounts concorde is being taken out of service soon, and its only coming to our local airport tomorrow or wednesday so it looks like the kids are going to drag me up the airport, have you ever seen it?
concorde
rangerjustice (formerly warrior ranger) Posted Oct 22, 2003
Nope, have never seen it other than on tv. I'm a little surprised they're being taken out of service, as big a deal as they made of supersonic transport when they first started out...

Hi Neil
I did happen to see the Concorde take off on tv this morning, kind of sad to see the end of an era.
Not up to much, just on days off and nursing my sore wrist along. Been going back and forth between watching movies and the internet. Looking forward to the race tomorrow... I gotta root for FunnyCide, regarless of whether he has a chance or not, since he came close to the Triple Crown. Not too bad for a gelding!

been to see anything exciting, funny cide may have come close in the triple but he hasnt a chance tomorrow, though i see julie krone is riding and she is riding out of her skin at the moment ,i seen her on satalite a couple of days ago riding about 4 in one meet. i still stand by my selections islington ,sulamai. these will not be beat.........i think! is your wrist getting any better or are you looking at a op, how did you do it?

rangerjustice (formerly warrior ranger) Posted Oct 24, 2003
I'm just looking forward to watching the race, don't really care too much who wins it... besides, I like rooting for the underdog!
I just got the cortisone shot for my wrist a couple days ago, don't really know yet if it'll help. If it doesn't, they'll give me another shot in a couple weeks, THEN start looking at surgery!
Long term wear-and-tear from shooting seems to be what did me in. Unfortunately, my job requires it, so we'll just have to see how it all comes out in the long run...

silversmoke Posted Oct 24, 2003
general wear and tear, no such thing those things should be risk assessed,i see the bright lights of compensation awaits. although the need for your wrist to heal is paramount. are there any things which are risk assesed in your workplace,i would see your doctor and get it classed as an industrial illness.

I've looked into Worker's Compensation a bit, and it doesn't look promising. Although if I have to do surgery, I may look at it some more. Would probably require hiring a lawyer, a thought which terrifies me!
Not long now until the races start!
