i can tell from the tone of your reply that you maybe slightly embarassed, slightly blushing ,feeling coy. we welshmen have the gift of flattery ,the gift to talk to women, and believe me that is a gift.we also know the art of taking notice, when not paying attention.like i said before i think they are missing something,so what is your name officer?
thank you
rangerjustice (formerly warrior ranger) Posted Oct 17, 2003
My name, my dear, persistent Welshman, is something I don't give out on public websites, I'm afraid.
"Ranger" will do quite nicely, thanks!
And actually, that's what a fair number of my friends call me in real life, so it's actually not that far off base...
thank you

I grew up in the only real city in Kansas, Wichita, about 300K people. Not a bad place, mix of agricultural and metro.
Now I'm living in a town of around 35K, in the desert, but blessedly close to the mountains. I can keep my arthritic joints happy in the winter, but cool off with just a short drive in the summer. Best of both worlds!

was it your decision to move from kansas or did fate take a hand,i personally dont believe that events are related, i believe in fate, what happens, happens. what ive gone through you can only believe in fate and good doctors.get on with life and enjoy. he doth eat well, doth drink well, doth live well thats my motto well actually inicked it from a pub in edinburgh.

Yeah, I chose to leave Kansas. I wanted to live in Colorado, originally, up in the mountains, but I couldn't find work up there. So I wound up in New Mexico. And will probably be here for the foreseeable future. I do still have family in Kansas, and go back every year or two.

couldnt you transfer to colorado or doesnt it work like that. my brother in law has family in colorado ,they went skiing one christmas up there.ever thought of changing jobs, if you had the choice what job would you do and where?
colorado
rangerjustice (formerly warrior ranger) Posted Oct 17, 2003
Transferring doesn't work that way, since I'm with the State, not the Federal government. I couldn't take the cold weather living that far north anymore, I'm afraid. I'll stay here and bake in the desert.
Dream job? I'd be an independently wealthy author, with a summer home in Colorado, a winter home on a beach in Mexico!
What about you, what would your dream life be?
dreams
silversmoke Posted Oct 17, 2003
mine would be a beach inspector in fiji,or a fisherman in mauritius, nothing to strenuous just a line wrapped round my big toe, lazing away.

I've gotta agree there. If you've reached the point where you no longer have any dreams, you may as well hang it up!

I'm quite comfortable with my various weapons. I've two dogs, who are in charge of watching the place. Once they wake me up, I'm in charge of taking care of the bad guys!
I've had some basic training in hand to hand combat, though I'm by no means an expert. My preference is to resolve a situation before I actually have to wrestle with anybody.

My duty weapon is a Glock .40, I also carry an expandable baton and pepper spray (Oleoresin capsicum, stream formulation).
I enjoy Law and Order, can't stand CSI, and am looking forward to the Breeder's Cup! I was really disappointed we didn't have a Triple Crown winner this year, since Seattle Slew finally died. We need a Crown horse around!
I live not too far from Ruidoso Downs, where some of the serious Quarter Horse racing goes on. I enjoy getting up to the races now and then!

rangerjustice (formerly warrior ranger) Posted Oct 17, 2003
Ruidoso Downs is the only track I have easy access to, and then only when I drive up to the races. I don't do online betting or any of that. So I'm interested in your thoughts, but I won't make any money off of them.

the european runners have yet to be declared by their trainers i think that they will be flying over on the weekend b4 quarantine, and then their workouts the americans get to hyped over speed times and you can guarantee that they will invariable be wrong.im not working over the weekend only mon nite and frid sat next week so it will be tight to be able to tell you. because im in work do you think you will be able to post the results as they happen or a bit later if thats ok. i cant believe that you have such an interest in racing amazing.
