RX for alcohol
Posted Jan 10, 2003
I am curious about why a natural herb remedy, that helps pain, nausea, muscles, appetite, mood is so bad mouthed and illegal. The herb is very helpful to many. There is no *official industry*, but certainly an industry does exist. Would people be more accepting if it were taxed industry? Then DO IT!Let the alcohol people take on the herb, rather than fight against it. I understand the benefits of alcohol taken in small amounts. I also understand there has been a lot of emotional and physical violence and illness and death do to this *newly discovered* alcohol remedy. It cannot be controlled as an RX, same complaints with the herb.It also cannot be acurately measured dose, as all bodies deal with alcohol differently.Alcohol causes euphoria that the herb is strongly chastised for!Everyone wants to take any hint of euphoria out of the herb! Why is a very ill, or very painful, cancer,or long term condition with a bit of euphoria such a sin! Alcohol HAS proven to be dangerous, euphoria producing, addicting, freely available SO age limits are applied. There is a tremendous lobby effort on the alcohol industries behalf. Just like the energy companies that need to take a risk and expand into new areas of growth(solar, wind hydrogen) Maybe the alcohol or pharmacutical industries should too. When you cannot fight them, join them.Especially when the fight is MORE dangerous and less effective.

Smoke screens & politics
Posted Jan 9, 2003
Trent Lott was ousted for his racist views. They (Rep) knew very well who the ole boys were all along. I would not even doubt the Rep went to the birthday party for Helms and taped it themselves! Helms was gone already great way to get Trent gone now. It was too easy. He was caught relaxed and being himself like the good ole boys off "duty"! Any Rep. had to know this could happen ! They knew who he and Helms were, who did NOT! To claim otherwise is such as crock! Things are not always what they seem. I am a political cynic for sure! Trent Lott was ,interestingly enough ( much to my surprize) the most outspoken Rep. about the following: The Rep. REALLY wanted him to drop his about citizens rights , inquiry into 9-11giving Bush a larger organization and budget, withinin a giant organization and many other important topics soon to be buried. I am not a Trent Lott fan. * My point is about diversions and overall Rep. purposes at work in this "catch"*

For today I am thinking
Posted Jan 6, 2003
If all life is sacred, perfect or just "IS" for this long, why would we redesign it? It did not work with the earth. Man has been trying to change the direction and flow of rivers. The rivers fight mans design during every flood. In cloning humans, maybe we are messing with the basic design of creation.( organs & cells are a different topic, 2 me) Creation being taken from either science or faith perspective .Take your personal pick. It seems the same answer pops up for me. I have no problem combining science and nature. Science and faith. *I believe the mind has a nature and nature has a mind* There R some scientist of faith. I personally believe (in unequal parts) in a blend of both evolution/spirit . I do not believe in seeing only black and white/ without the greyscale. I believe we may be messing wrongly, with the creation, with humanity. There is NO need,at this time, to *re-create. To do it just because we can, is NOT good enough for me.
