hubby 3 mo post cardiac

Hubby is back to work , not full steam of course.
He is doing pretty well.

Life is changing again, as if that ever stops!
I wanted to say Hello.
I hope to come back for a social visit soon.

I have not found how to balance the new normal.
I am sure I will in time!

Nervous about hubby

Hubby went to his 3rd appt for his much needed physical.
His stress test on the treadmill did not go well.

He may need more than one intervention.
We are waiting for the cardiac cath appt. ordered ASAP
The Dr said they would probably try stents but he is doubtful
They will do the job. He may need a valve and several vessels opened.
Hi father had 4 vessels and a valve.

I have worried about him the last few years.
Like so many people -
He delayed going because he thought something could be wrong.
In addition he ignored High BP / high Cholesteral/too fatty a diet

He made the appt after going to a funeral of another friend in his 50's whom died suddenly.

I am nervous about this.
I need to be strong and supportive.
The Dr is hoping he is getting there in time to extend his life.
Both my Dads, 3 siblings passed in their 50's from heart-
circulatory issues.

Like most health issues ,
you need to attend to problems early as possible.
I hope this is soon enough for something to be done for himsmiley - love

I missed some of the best news

The World Bank announced it this year ( it happened in 2010)
the extreme proverty - people living on less than $1.25 a day - has
dropped by half since 1990. It took 2 years to see progress happened
and was holding.smiley - applause

It is begining to look like the death penalty could be on the way out in the US.
I am reading articles on a weekly basis that are very positive on ending it.

I am sure there is more, I missed these two important trends.
Hoping for more Happy news, in this New Year smiley - smiley

Anybody use Calibre for ebooks and other reading?

This program looks great.
Free.
I am watching the tutorial on you tube, I love video tutorials!
Anyway you can have all types of plugins converted to what you want
for all types of equipment.

I have been looking for free reading on my paperwhite kindle.
I cannot afford to be buying them and I mostly read fiction.

They can get a great amount of news too. It compiles it like twitter, my only reason to use the site.
I think I read it is UK friendly,I can check. You can share anything with anybody ( only once per item)
in any format on any reader, phone, computer etc. It converts files, keeps files. Everything
Amazon does and more , in the free categories..

I mean legal stuff, in only legal ways of course.
Has anybody tried this?
Might post on ask ,starting heresmiley - smiley
