Trent Lott was ousted for his racist views. They (Rep) knew very well who the ole boys were all along. I would not even doubt the Rep went to the birthday party for Helms and taped it themselves! Helms was gone already great way to get Trent gone now. It was too easy. He was caught relaxed and being himself like the good ole boys off "duty"! Any Rep. had to know this could happen ! They knew who he and Helms were, who did NOT! To claim otherwise is such as crock! Things are not always what they seem. I am a political cynic for sure! Trent Lott was ,interestingly enough ( much to my surprize) the most outspoken Rep. about the following: The Rep. REALLY wanted him to drop his about citizens rights , inquiry into 9-11giving Bush a larger organization and budget, withinin a giant organization and many other important topics soon to be buried. I am not a Trent Lott fan. * My point is about diversions and overall Rep. purposes at work in this "catch"*

Politicians are so slimy! If we squeezed some of them enough, I'm sure we would create the biggest oil slick ever! More contamination than the "Exxon Valdiz".

yep, I was half afraid to post that! I know politics get touchy.I just cannot stand the nonsense.

Abbi- don't ever be afraid to post a comment about politics. What are people going to do in cyberspace- send out Arnold Shwarsewha'st his face? Lott fried himself and a good thing because it is obvious that his party wouldn't do it for him. We had a somewhat similar situation here in Canada when a respected native leader made a speach at a conference. He stated that Hitler was right to kill 6 million Jews because the Jews were takeing over the world. This leader had received an Order of Canada for his work amongst native peoples. and sits on both national and provincial committes pertaining to native rights. He has now been stripped of his Committee standings, soon to be stripped of his Order of Canada and is under investigation for a Hate Crime. Yes people here can go to prison for spewing hatred towards people of any race, religion, colour, sexual preference, or gendre. That jurisdiction also includes cyberspace.
