I find Mimulus very helpful, it is for unknown fears. I take when I am nervous about going out, nervous about the tube or fearful of death etc. There is a great book which has the problem and then the possible remedies for it, a friend borrowed mine some time ago, so I will be picking up a new copy soon, I'll tell you the book wen I get it again. I'll also be able to look things up for you if you need it.
I also read that honeysuckle and aspen are good for panic attacks, but this is one you take regularly. 3 times a day or less, I take it 1 or 2 ties a day, and I have found it easier to get outside, so I really think they work.
I have had a really painful stomach ache all day and so havn't even been able to get up much. No idea, think it most be a bug, as I am apparently clammy to touch! When I am well enough, I will go get the book again, its very useful indeed!
Oh and I find mimulus more helpful than rescue remedy.

This is a good information resource.
They have wonderful descriptions of all herbs and their usage.
They have info about interactions also.

"I can in fact imagine myself stacking shelfs in a supermarket"
I think that is great Kaz.
I try to imagine myself with more polished skills, like patience and courage for two. I think a persons capacity for growth can be helped along by practicing them successfully in your thoughts, dreams and imagery, it's a wonderful thing

Yes, that Is great Kaz! Some might consider that a small step, but you've got to walk before you can run, so to speak. I wish you strength & success.

Kaz Posted Mar 19, 2004
Well I guess it is nice that I can visualise a job if Moonglum leaves before me. Couldn't work in a supermarket during the day far too crowded, but if he goes I will need to do something for money.
Quite bizarre how afraid I am now of people and work environments when my last job was owning my own pagan/spiritual/new age type shop! Owning your own shop really throws you in the middle of people! Always getting phone calls from salespeople who assume that you can afford to have staff to serve people, and constantly having to explain, I do orders, serve customers, open and shut the shop, answer the telephone, do the money and accounts and do not have time to listen to a speel about you spangly new photocopier!
I once had a salesperson proudly ask if I was interested in the latest something or other, he gave the company name instead of the product. he was most disappointed when I said I had no idea what he was talking about, he then explained it was a make of photocopier, I fell about laughing!

Hi Folks Im back again
Abbi thanks for your E Mails and helping me get in here again, and could you give Terri my E Mail addy,
Abbi
When I was in the ambulance service, I came across a lot of people with varying phobias, I found that patience & understanding of the problem, helped a great deal.
As some times I was the only person they actually see from one week to another, so what happened to all this, care in the community??
Smudger.

Researcher 185550 Posted Mar 20, 2004
Well the thing about the community is that although it definitely exists, is that no-one's quite sure exactly who it is.

zendevil Posted Mar 20, 2004
It's US as far as i am concerned....which i am, which is part of the reason it really IS a community.

Right Terri, ditto, as far as I'm concerned! I think Smudger & Roadkill were alluding to the RL community in general...& there sadly, I think too many people are just looking out for themselves.

Willem Posted Mar 21, 2004
Hello Everybody! This is Willem in South Africa once again.
This forum has turned to the topic of losing loved ones. I've not lost many loved ones yet, except for my grandparents. My father's father died before I was born so I never knew him. My father's mother died when I was about two, and I did love her a lot at the time, but her loss didn't affect me very badly. My mother's father died when I was about seven, and my mother's mother when I was thirteen or so. These losses did not affect me very much either. I did love them, but somehow it wasn't so hard to let them go. I think this may have something to do with my religious beliefs. I don't belong to any church but I do believe that our souls are immortal. So if somebody dies, they're not gone forever ... they're simply temporarily out of touch. None of the people I knew that died, seem to me to be 'dead'. They're just elsewhere. Someday we'll meet again.
I don't know if this is 'denial' or not. I've felt this way since I was very young, and now, using my rational mind and all my knowledge about science and about the human mind and all, I still feel that way. It is impossible for me to believe that a *person* could be totally and utterly *gone, forever*. No amount of scientific evidence could convince me otherwise. The scientific question, in my view, is purely this - 'Where did they go?' Maybe they went om to another kind of existence, a non-material sort of existence, in a different dimension or a different sort of realm. Maybe their souls reincarnated and they're now living somewhere, as children, having forgotten about their old lives and now living fresh and bright and new lives. Maybe sometime far in the future they'll remember their old lives, and our friendships, again.

I have often thought just the same.We al know the feeling of "when did this happen before" ,and know that it isn't possible it has hapened before!!Maybe in a previous life??????I dont believe that we "go" forever..... and i believe that is why we bond with certain people instantly.<

Ive been told by people who have been brought back from death, that they all say they saw a bright light!
I rememeber when I was samll having an operation on my skull, and I floated up to the ceiling and could see the doctors and staff working, but I couldnt see who on, as the big round lamp they use was blocking my view
I also saw a light, but when I went over to where it was, it went out
Smudger,

zendevil Posted Mar 21, 2004
It would be interesting to interview people who have been blind from birth who had these experiences & find out if they also get this. Does a totally blind person have a concept of light?

Researcher 185550 Posted Mar 21, 2004
Depends how blind. Not got any light-sensitive cells in the eye, I doubt it. But if there are a few cells there, but they're badly mucked up, it's possible.

zendevil Posted Mar 21, 2004
How do blind people access the internet? Even if there are braille keyboards, how could they "read" a reply, or surf?
It seems awful to imagine not being able to do this, but surely there must be a way?
....Not that i have a vested interest or anything

What a pain. It assumes you have a willing companion. Shame they can't train guides to do it!
I was reading in the paper today that they are develping a microchip which can be embedded in the brain so you can operate your computer by thought waves, this would be immensely useful for disabled people, but somewhat scary. What do "you lot" think?
