No offence taken, dear sir... I think a lot of words got changed because of ignorance, or because of immigrants. Many people who came here integrated their vernacular into common usage. Personally, I got bad marks in gradeschool spelling (back in public school) partly because I insisted spelling colour, humour, and grey (instead of color, humor and gray. I love words, how they sound and behave when used perfectly. I do not care about other people's spellling too much.

I am VERY familiar with MPFC, just not the Acronym. Sorry. Search for the Holy Grail is the most popular with my set, though. At summer camp a few years ago, we worked out that between 3 of us we could quote the entire movie end to end. The schoolkids here have just discovered the Dead Parrot skit, and the Ministry of Funny Walks.

I followed soccer this year, honestly because the U.S. team was attractive, and if I watched games I could have an excuse for their pictures on my wall. I like playing America football, but not soccer(tragically bad), and have been known to make a fool of myself on a basketball court.

As I I understand it, you Americans love to make up weird games

I know the Britsh leage is starting soon, and I'll only be suporting pacifly NUFC. and on't laugh, your right I've never been there but It's kind of a family tradision.

Snap! I'm 1/4 American too, on my surviving Grandmothers side (from an Irish immigrant family, but came back to Ireland when she was older to marry my Grandad)

Now that you mention it... I am a quarter Brit! My Grandma on my mother's side. Her maiden name is "Butler". Then I have some Russian Jew, some Scottish (by way of the Appalachians), some Native American(Iroquois), and I think my Grandma on my Dad's side might be of German blood (don't know that I claim it...).

Blackfoot was an awesome tribe, really neat warpaint, and they know hecka lot about herbal healing.

That must be the thing thats been passed on then...

Yeah. I never could be in Medicine... I hate math. Iroquois were fairly violent. Hmm. I don't know that I really inherited anything from them except high cheekbones.
