I'm currenly Private Terran on Red Dwarf, I have clicked on the programmers page to subscribe to it, have joined the Vitual Supporters football page, and have just come in at the end of a very bloody battle to do with Saddam Hussein in the MoE room (Yankie's in there as well). Where do you think the best places to be are?

Yes the Red Dwarf group are nice - completely insane, but nice. Theres A J Rimmer and Existential Elevator who are the main ones I've got to speak to, though I believe there are alot of others

Hmmm, I'm not a ravid fan, so I'll just sit back and admire the view (just like red dwarf, although I'd watch it over Star Trek, wich is also good to wtch)

Whats the difference between field research and just your every day researcher?
I do hope Red Dwarf comes back soon, I'm sick of watching repeats. I'm not a ravid fan, but I have probably seen most of the episodes. As far as Star Trek is concerned, I'm becoming more and more blase about it. I used to watch it alot, and considered my self a vague fan, but I'm afraid its going the way of Dr Who (which also would be interesting to see back). Or are you talking about conversation forums?

Oh no TV. but It's weird to talk to someone who likes Red Dwarf (I also want to see it back) and likes Dr Who, (which was interesting in form of 'Oh look laughable scienary' but nothing more)

Its funny - I think I'm actually growing out (no disrepect to anyone that this sounds offensive to) of the Sci Fi genre. I used to Like both Star Trek and Doctor Who, but have almost completely lost interest in both. I need something to make me entertained, and make me laugh, HHGTTG does that, as does Red Dwarf, Black Adder ... the list goes on. Though I think the Doctor Who had some interesting story lines, I agree the poor sets and costumes mad it look ridiculus, and the older I've got (20), the more I see it.

I must ammend some of what I have just said. I am NOT anti Sci fi (forgive my tired ramblings), just in need of a laugh. Maybe I should quit while I'm behind!

I love Sci-Fi Comedeys, one of the reasons I like HHGTTG, the stainles steel rat and Red Dwarf, I've also gone into some fantisy as with Disc World, and who couldn't like Black Adder, I've got them all on DVD, I'm just waiting for some more money so I can get MPFC the Life of Brian.

Rivkeh Yankee-Shoes... bashing about the BoE again Posted Aug 29, 2002
My parents "made" me watch Blackadder as part of my homeschooling. I'm the luckiest kid on earth! None of my friends even know about it... yet. They still think Rowan Atkinson is just the guy from "Bean" (not that I'm knocking Mr.Bean... although what Hollywood did to that concept was a travesty).
No, no, I save any kind of violence for the Boardroom, I told you. I am a very peaceful person (heck, that's part of my job description).
Have either of you read the "Dirk Gently" books? Not sci-fi like HHGTTG, really... right now I think I like them better, because of their pace, and that everything random gets resolution in the end (something I often crave in RL). Just made my flatmate read "The Long, Dark, Teatime of the Soul" and she rather enjoyed it. Also liked the little follow up in Salmon of Doubt.
New pot! (clean cup, move down!) ...
now that we have that settled...

Thats OK, s back
hmm, I was hoping that I wouldn't say this, No fair, you got home schooling, my parents were either to stupid or too drunk to do that for me. I gues I'll just have to do with a mentor instead.
So noone over there knows about Black Adder? what about MPFC? or Red Dwarf?

Red Dwarf, yes. I don't know what MPFC is... with my brother's set there are a lot of Red Dwarf and Dr.Who fans, but I can't say as I know anything about either series, because I only saw a few shows when I was small.
Homeschooling was awesome, although I didn't always appreciate at the time. Went to boarding school on scholarship my senior year, and now I am working there for the second year (took one year off to pursue music and decompress). Right now am applying to college (finally! I found one I like) for next fall. My parents are VERY cool, and really put in a lot of effort. My mom is actually on the guide.

that right... or as my friend in his play 'Spam Wars' no one expects the spanish spam.
The reason for my dislike for of fall is that it's aready taken by about 3 other meanings, it dosn't need any more, esp' when autums not being used by anything.

I think (no offense YS) that when America was being set up, they changed alot of words just to be different. Though its can get confusing in Trans-Atlantic conversations (wow two big words in one sentance! Makes me look falsely clever) like this.
