It's not worth it, really. The only thing I watch on TV nowadays is the Andy Griffith Show and MASH reruns. I've gotten almost all of the seasons on DVD, so I won't even have to resort to that soon.

I watch the news occasionally, when I can't get hold of a newspaper... Oh, and some times, NRK (government owned channel devoted to culture) have some really good series or movies, but even that's a rarity these days...

Our government owned TV station's (one is part-ownership and the other is fully owned) produce the best news I can find. SBS has the most centric news I have ever seen, and I have watched pretty much every major news channel with the help of world watch

It's better than witnessing most of the news.

Its certainly better than the presenters who all have big ears, to much make up and were no pants.

True, but that still doesn't discredit newspapers. I suppose the internet is more friendly to the environment, but there's something very... cozy about these old heaps of paper which you have to spend loads of time folding and unfolding...

Our local broadsheet is moderately ok but on Sundays it becomes tabloid for no obvious reason, I mean SUNDAY! Its like the day of the week that people work the LEAST!

Our local SUCKS. I mean, who wants to read 'news' from three weeks ago????? We just get the one from Macon, which is alright.
Seriously, a tabloid? Like which of the neighbors have been sleeping with each other? I think I'm moving...

Lucky you. Some of our papers are turning into tabloids, full-time, but we've still got some nice broadsheets...

its a paper thats like a tabloid only bigger, full of less advertising and tends to have less bias, although there are a few cases where this is not the case.
