Me
I'm writing on the h2g2 website for the first time. It's quite exciting really knowing that millions of people are going to be able to read what I've written. This creates something of a problem, however. I now feel under pressure to write something wholly original that will astound readers. Unfortunately, I don't think it's going to happen. Maybe next time. Indeed, maybe I'm being a tad optimistic that millions of people are actually going to be reading it at all. Hmmm.
I'm actually backpacking around Australia at the moment with a very out of date Lonely Planet guide (it has details of what will be happening when Sydney hosts the Olympic Games later in the year). I've been living in Melbourne for the last four months trying to save up a bit of money and am planning to leave to head along the Great Ocean Road towards Adelaide and do a bit of whale-watching (Southern Right Whales are presently swimming about in the waters off South Australia which is very exciting). I've never seen a whale before - well not in real life anyway.
I'm originally from Manchester in England and am looking forward to staying up all night spotting familiar landmarks during the Commonwealth Games coverage. The bowling especialy is a must as it is taking place in Heaton Park, not half a mile from my house. It's ironic really that I shall be in Melbourne for the Manchester Commonwealth Games and in another four years when they are being held in Melbourne, shall probably be in Manchester!
Anyway, that's all I have to say now. I'm feeling a bit peckish and just fancy a nice jacket potato with whatever I can find to fill it. Maybe a nice cup of tea to go with it. Very nice.
