Just realised "Triplets" was known here as Belleville Rendezvous. I saw it at the boot sale a couple of weeks ago and nearly got it. It may still turn up.

Plus... I remember getting rid of a couple of CDs in the past, because the "special edition" cases they came in interrupted the natural line of the normal CDs on the shelf.

Ah, yes... I've thrown out those special slipcovers some special edition discs come in for the same reason. That, and they don't fit into the slots of those storage units that have them.
Separate shelf for VA box sets, thankfully!

Sup. Have you seen Schizopolis? I found it in the Salvation Army for a quid.

I have not yet seen it- it's on a very long list of things to see. Let me know what you think of it! Please.

Thought it was pretty funny in parts but did my head in a bit... I'll stick it in your parcel if you like.

...not sure I'm so bothered to replace what you mentioned in email (they're at Candy's incidentally), but I know Mary would love them.

OK, I'll stick them in the envelope so Mary can put them to use. I wasn't sure how easy it was going to be for you to get your mitts on the stuff at Candy's.
If you wanted to stick "Schizopolis" in there I would be grateful, if you don't think you want to keep it.
Might add a surprise or two to your parcel, then, too.

Candy's beyond broke still and never in very good spirits, so I couldn't ask. Most of it I didn't really miss anyway, and told her to do a garage sale. I asked her to keep the graphic novels, though at a good 20kg they're not going anywhere. Apart from that, a book of sci-fi art I asked her to send Mikey for her graduation, and Shawn & Angel (both big Star Wars fans) got a Lego scout walker and speeder bikes. Little things I miss really, nik-naks from Zim, stuff like that. No big deal.
Watched Red yesterday, a little more intriguing but still... meh. And I got a new mobile, so now I can get text alerts from Grandmaster Flash

So, duly noted that I can probably avoid "Red", "White" and "Blue", then. When pretty much *everyone* with whom I share even a smidgeon of taste finds something "meh", it's a safe bet I won't be blown away either.
A coworker loaned me "Land of the Dead" over the weekend; it was quite enjoyable. Another one where I couldn't help rooting for the zombies.
Otherwise, we're back on a Red Dwarf kick, in anticipation of the new box set release on November 12. Our copy of "O Lucky Man!" is on its way, and the "Twin Peaks" DVD box set ships Wednesday.

Going with Tom to the 2-for-1 movie tomorrow... Resident Evil: Extinction. Not for the layers of meaning, obviously.

Hope you enjoyed yourselves. Went out for dinner after work last night. K picked me up at a train stop near the restaurant, and after we ate, on the way back to the car, we stopped in another little manga/kaiju model shop and I bought one of these: http://www.myplasticheart.com/c/ASTRONAUTJ/Astronaut+Jesus.html . I got the red flocked one. Here's a link to the shop's online storefront: http://rotofugi.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=SFNT&Store_Code=RDTS . They have a little gallery next door to the shop, it seems. Will have to check that out sometime.

We're seeing the film tonight, though I'm developing a cold so I'm not sure I'll enjoy it so much. Maybe after a wee dram.
The Jesus Astronaut looks cool. Reminds me of this

Sweeeet!
I've got a small, but nifty, collection of "humorous" Jesus paraphernalia. Like my "Holy Smoke" ashtray and the Jesus that's basically a magic 8-ball.
Hope you're feeling better tonight, so you can enjoy the film. Grocery shopping for me, tonight. I'm actually looking forward to it. All of the autumn veggies are coming out, and I'm feeling inspired again.

Oh, my! I'd get away with it in Chicago for sure, no problem, but I'm not sure I feel that strongly about him.

I've finally come up with an idea for a short film to make.
