Hullo
It takes six weeks for the brain to register a new habit as natural?
Is that a fact?
Hope your sis is feeling much better Abbi

Hi Vixen, Kaz, Abbi, JEllen, everybody.
Not really feeling myself today. We've had some warm, wet weather here recently, and today my allergies are acting up with a vengeance. *sniffle, cough, sneeze* I've had a nice hot bath with some cold and sinus stuff I got (camphor, tea tree, chamomile, etc), so I'm a bit less stuffy but still kind of groggy and spaced out.
Just wanted to check in so no-one thinks I'm being antisocial or ignoring anybody. I'll ,ost likely be around tomorrow if my head's not so clouded up. Hope you're all doing well today!
Time now for some herbal and then bed. Nighty night all!

Hi again everybody!
Glad you had a good day and got out, Kaz. Yes, you are another hour ahead of us till this Sunday. Just what I need is an hour *less* sleep!
I was feeling better today till about mid-afternoon, then I kind of ran out of steam. My sinuses hurt, my ears itch, the glands in my neck are swollen, and it hurts to talk. Which some people have indicated is less than tragic.
But I'm not really feeling too bad, perhaps a bit cranky but happy to see and hear from my friends. s all around from me too, and I promise not to contaminate anyone with my icky germs.

Researcher 556780 Posted Mar 31, 2004
Kaz, glad you got out n' stuff, and Pc you'll beat that germ - just get it drunk
...err....not much to say today...not really done much, I should do the housework and make a start on the artwork that I promised the students in florida that I would do...just finding it hard to pull me finger out!
Well must dash and go do sod all...laters!

I've got the same problem Vixen, I just can't be arsed! Got out again today though and walked 4 miles, so at least I can make myself do it!
PCandy, look after yourself, have some vit c or whatever works for you. We have just had 2 beautiful days of sun and warmth. Rain is due, but it was lovely whilst it lasted, the bumbly bees are flying around again!

I'm feeling mostly better today, though it was a hectic and stressful day so I'm pretty tired again. I'm making some brie in philo for dinner, and will have that with a glass or two of a white Bordeaux I've picked up. I'm going to run a bath while it's baking and mayeb read a little more of my book for a bit.
Glad to hear it's nice and warm by you, Kaz. I'm not sure what the weather's up to out on the east coast by Vixen, but it's cooled off again here. All the petals fell off my tulips at work (which spurred a chain of bad jokes about my being deflowered, of course...), hopefully they'll bloom again. No bumblebees here yet, I don't mind seeing them but I am deathly allergic to their stings so I don't get too close.
Anyway hope you both got some of your stuff done, or at least a good deal of mucking about.
I'll be back before bed, in case anyone comes back around. Off for that bath now!

Well I got nothing done, no exercise, no drawings, no housework, I did however manage to get dressed, get G to school and goto work and come back and cook dinner so at least thats the bare minimum...I just can't be bothered lately...seemed to have settled into humdrum!
The weather here is very English...misty with striaght up and down rain - I mean rain that starts from the clouds and comes down like water from a tap, no breaks or drops inbetween, I am going to be soaked later on...*SIGH* April is here!
Seen a few crocuses and snowdrops about, and the trees are starting to bud..all very exciting, I love to see that, and the smell....I love that fresh smell after raining - when it stops that is...!
Bumbly bees - I love that sound, so umm...I can't describe it...it's a busy comforting consistant sound..I find it relaxing...I like it when they are buzzin busily in a flower and then have a lil difficulty in getting out of the flower and the buzz gets a lil more frustrated and annoyed cos of the time wasted, then they zip out and all is well...*chuckles*
buzzzzzzzzzzzz.....

I am looking forward to having a garden and drinking out there listening to bees, and watching the bunnies nibble the lawn so we don't have to mow it. Summer drinks are bitter shandy, pimms with lemonade and gin and tonic. Ohhhhhhh for a garden!

I'd love a garden one day, too, but that's a long way off, if ever. Hopefully you and Moonglum will get a house with a garden one day soon, I will keep hoping and praying that you will. And I'd be happy to come over and visit and hang out with you in your garden full of flowers and bunnies and bumblebees and summery drinks! (Just don't let me get stung!) I love to sit in my back yard during summer evenings, when it cools off some- we get REALLY hot here summers- with a pitcher of sangria and some munchies, and maybe some nice music. The bunnies don't come out much during daylight around here, but there's one I see on my way to work mornings, in the same spot every day. He's crossing the street one way and I the other, and I always say hello. Today I brought him a few spinach leaves, which he seemed grateful for!
I have a couple packets of wildflower seeds, flowers which are indigenous to the area, which I got from the World Wildlife Fund, of which I am a member. I'm going to ask my landlord for permission to plant them, either out front or out the back. Barring that, I was thinking I might call my alderman or the park district and ask permission to plant them somewhere else, where everyone can enjoy their beauty. Maybe a local neighborhood group will let me contribute them to their own project or something. As long as they're someplace where I can see them, too!
Well, kids, I'm off to bed for now, after one last . This allergy thing is really getting the better of me today, I'm all messed up and my nose hurts like hell. I said it on Terri's "Eyes" thread and I'll say it again here, I'd swear it was something in the ventilation system at work. The whole place is one big OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration, for you non-yanks) violation anyway, sweat shop and all. I hope it clears up soon, it's really bringing me down. Hard to relax properly when you can't breathe and your sinuses are burning and you're all achey! Grr! But hey, don't pity me, I'm just having another whinge!
Nighty night all. and s
'Til tomorrow!

Hi everyone!
I am feeling absolutely horrible this evening. This cold has finally hit full force, which actually probably means I'm getting better, and I'm so tired and useless this evening.
Vixen, I really want to read your "Bracken" story when I'm more alert, so I hope you won't think I've overlooked it. I just don't want to read it when I'm so tired and useless. Krispy has a short story of mine that I would love for him to email back to me, and if he does, I will share it as well. Perhaps we can all bolster the nerve to share the things we come up with. I enjoy reading the things my friends have written, it gives me a better look at who they are and how they feel. I'll be reading that posting tomorrow evening at the very latest, and I'm really looking forward to it!
All right then, don't mean to neglect you all, my loves, but I'm in dire need of a bath and then bed. My nose is runny and raw, my sinuses are pounding, and I'm so achey and worn out. I hate colds. And I hate not having the energy to converse propoerly with you lot. You all mean more to me than anything.
