Oh yeah - the Czechs invented the stuff! They don't call it 'PILSENer' for nothing. I've never been there, but I've tried most of the brands that make it to the UK - Urquell is a standard in my fridge. I've had a couple of other more obscure ones when I've come across them too - all good stuff.
The Germans do make a decent beer though, I must say.... Hence the plane fare to Munich once a year!
Sorry to hear about your situation. Sounds like you've got it all under control though, so that's good

Hi, Oetz. Yes, anyone can join us. Congrats to you for being on the wagon and good luck with that! I know it's very very hard. I will be pulling for you.
You'll want to give yourself a name so we see more than "Researcher" and a number. To do that, click on "Preferences" in the buttons near the top of the H2G2 site, and follow the instructions.
Welcome aboard.

This has got to be the most censored site on this side of the net.
Is this the space of the brave and the free I ask innocently?
Anybody else missing postings on this Fest for Freemasons?

He's promised to drive, having experienced the week (or more) after Octoberfest before... Whether he will actually be legally able to drive is another matter entirely!

Can't complain, not that that's ever stopped me.
Had a nice weekend. Fall rolled in for good on Sunday morning after a sticky warm Saturday. Should be only 20C today. Ahhh..... (Saturday it was 26 with humidity to match. Blehh.)
Bought a fab new suede jacket on Sunday the color of autumn leaves and have it on as we speak. I may even sleep in it.
Yourself?

I know what it's like when you get something new and luvverly like that, but I'd advise you not to slep in it (though it's probably too late now - you either did or you didn't!)
Had a hectic weekend and last two days too. Friday night concert in London. Saturday getting back from London for Toc's b-day dinner was mad cos I missed my flight (railtrack have pulled up the track between London bridge and Luton airport - a nice and easy 30 minute train ride - and so the trip out was and hour and a half long. I missed check-in be ten minutes) Got transfered to a later flight for free, so that was good. Or at least less expensive!
Got to Glasgow airport and was picked up by my parent bearing cake and clothes. I'd made a choccie cake for toc and had intended to get it to the restraunt before we got there as a surprise for her. It got done, but I'd been hoping for a nice leisurly afternoon with my parents, finishing off the cake, getting showered and dressed up etc. ended up having a quick shower at Toc's and pulling on the clean clothes my parents had brought - no makeup, no jewellery, trainers instead of leather boots. Ah well.
Had great fun though...even though I got some strange looks when i told folks not to order any puddings
All the waiters came out and sang happy birthday and Toc was suiltable embarrased by the whole deal! (well, she went to egypt for her 30th last year and so I didn't get a chance to spoil her then)
Had a quoet Sunday with freinds, went back to parents to pick up my car and had dinner with them, then drove home.
Last two days at work have been 6:30 starts. I finished at half 10 last night and probably the same tonight. Ah well, I'll eventuall get a PhD out of it I hope!

Garsh. That does sound hectic. I won't be complaining about the length of *my* workdays anymore.
Who is Toc? A really good friend, I surmise.
Dealing with flying always seem to be stressful these days. Guess we can thank al Qaida (and Britrail?) for that. The security people *really* give you the once-over if they find out you're flying to Washington. They insisted on taking tiny cuticle scissors with dull blades out of my carry-on.
But I still think Europe has better airport security than we do here.

Ach - not quite as bad as it sounds, I got home for about four hours in the afternoons. But definately hectic....Done now - was only at work for about three hours todssay. Went off to buy clothes for the reception tomorrow. Just need to find a top to go with the skirt and boots now.
Just got a text to say TPC is back in the country at least. No indication of mental state though!

And today's the wedding, right? Did himself get back OK? And did you find something pretty to go with the skirt?
I'm going to be busier than a one-armed paperhanger with crabs today, so I'm not sure how much I'll be on Hootoo. I'll bob in and out when I can.

So the chicken's in Munich, hope ambition does'nt get the better of him. The cabin staff should have the sense to keep him away from the panick door. That's if they let him on in the first place of course.
