My job would be great if it wasn't for hungry people that wanted feeding.
And on that note I posted your package at lunch time (first class) so it should be with you either tomorrow or thursday

Have fun with them
Have you visitied the 'Has h2g2 got an 'In Crowd'' thread in ask, it's fairly amusing, rampant paranoia all over the place
Lets see how long it'll take for Rampant Paranoia to become a hot topic of discussion for the Lurkers (Yes you *Waves*)

I first found this site in 2000. All lurking meant back then was reading and not posting.
It wasn't until 2005 or so that lurking took on a sinister meaning. Reading through someone's posts, journals and threads looking for their vulnerabilities in order to use it against them in ways like emailing them nasty comments that are unfounded (which has happened to me), or to manipulate them in other ways, is not lurking, it's closer to stalking.
As to people looking for something to complain about, they will most surely find, churn or create something whether it's real or not.

I'm a member of the Lurkers Society, but I have rules that I stick to
If I find a conversation that is obviously between just 2 people then I will leave and not go back, if it is a discussion of more than 3 people I will have a look and join in if I feel it's appropriate.

One of the first people I met here showed up on my page with something like 'I lurked your thread with _____ and it was interesting. So, I came by for a chat, because I don't want to barge in, but I'm interested in the same thing.'.

I haven't used 'quite' the same wording, but that IS how I have met some interesting people. From seeing them, their opinions or humour, in other threads not at all related to me. And so I might eventually call on them in their own space. I'd say that well over half of them are still friends to one degree or another.

Today I was having a chat with my Dad and we got around to talking about my mum.
Quite a nice little talk about how she would hav a saying for every possible, conceivable event in life.
How would she have discribed this Journal?
Playing to the cheap seats is what she would have said can't think of anything more fitting can you?

I knew that was John Lennon...
From here: http://www.eskimo.com/~bpentium/facts.html
November 4, 1963 - The Beatles appear at the Royal Command Performance, performing for the Queen Mother, Princess Margaret and Lord Snowdon. Before beginning "Twist and Shout," John tweaks the crowd with his comment, "Will the people in the cheaper seats clap their hands? And the rest of you, if you'll just rattle your jewelry."
