Hi Fizzy, it's Ivan...
Ivan the Terribly Average Posted Aug 30, 2008
It's been a while since I had a pair of delights within lurching distance of each other. *sigh*
There's trouble with the toast option - that is, I have no bread in the house, and I feel too weak and feeble to contemplate a trip to the shop. So soup it is. (On the bright side, it'll be easy to, um, reject if that's what my stomach decides to do with it.)

You never know what opportunities may be waiting right around the corner Ivan.
Chicken soup is probably the second best option ..... just don't dehydrate .... drink plenty of water.

At least I can keep water down now. Gosh, it was nasty.
The soup is now before me. Some of it is in me. I might pause before stowing any more away.

Best not do that, in case it Sets Something Off.
Suddenly not feeling too good. Maybe it's paranoia, but...

A spell of sitting quite still and not looking at the screen helped. And now I'll go offline...

I've been sipping water all day; at one point I even downed an entire glass in one go. That didn't feel too good... but there were no consequences, as it turned out.
The food thing... I didn't enjoy that at all. It was dull, it was bland - but at least I coped.
Back to the office tomorrow. Oddly enough, I feel the need to be there - if I don't go in I'll develop credibility problems, as I'm taking Thursday and Friday off to go to Sydney.

Hiya
I hope you're back to your normal self again .... or is there a normal self.
Anyhow ... hope you're well and having fun.

I think I'm back to usual. I won't say normal 'cos I'm not sure what that is, exactly.
I have new specs. The text on the screen is suddenly so much bigger. The shock's making my head hurt.
Anyway - welcome back.

Broadband will be back tomorrow and I can't wait - I feel like a child on Christmas Eve.
You've reminded me of my Mum every time she got new glasses - she'd say - these are the best glasses I've ever had, I can see everything clearly now, they're so much better than the old ones. She never could figure out why I laughed.

Broadband. I'll get broadband one day... But not just yet. Just think how much I'll appreciate it when the day comes.
I do like these new glasses. The old ones really weren't up to much any more. I'm not sure I like this tangible evidence of ageing, though. *sigh*

Yes the broadband happened ... then I got too busy to use it .... then I got too tired to use it.
The telecom company refunded the cost of my dial-up modem and paid me an extra £30 for all the trouble they'd caused too.
So how's things down under.

Things here are reasonably good, apart from the fact that it's Sunday and I'm about to spend it doing w*rk. Needs must, I suppose. I'm planning to stick to w*rk-type hours; I usually start at 7:30, which is looming, so I'll be offline quite soon.

Poor you ... I'm so sorry you're stuck with work on the weekend.
On the plus side .... I'm not working .... well except housework - and it's still Saturday night so I won't be doing that until tomorrow.

Lunchtime!
Yeah, it's a drag doing this stuff at the weekend, but I'll get brownie points as a result. And it's sort of interesting in a reallly nerdy way.
Now I assume you're asleep in an appropriate spot, not on the keyboard...

Slept on the sofa actually .... wasn't feeling too good and thought if I lay still for a while it'd pass .... it did along with the night and now it's my lunchtime.
Then off to panto rehearsals.

Off to panto rehearsals? Oh no you're not...
Sorry, couldn't help myself.
After writing that Thing all day yesterday I'm going to have to come home and proofread/rew*rk it tonight. Still - nearly there, wherever 'there' is.
