I got a haircut!
Lady Scott Started conversation Apr 17, 2003
Actually, I got them *all* cut.
I went to my hairdresser tonight and told her I wanted something different. She seemed to have a lot of fun with my hair.
First the wash, of course...
Then snip, snip, snip. That took care of about 3 inches.
Then she layered it all over.
Then she decided it needed to be about an inch shorter , so she did it all again.
Then she took a razorcomb to the ends.
Next there was the gel and the blow dryer with the diffuser on it...
I'll *never* be able to get it to look like this on my own!

Oh, absolutely... no long strands hanging down anywhere...
I've uploaded them to my yahoo photos...

and in the process managed to find one of the pictures you sent me of the hail, Gosho... don't ask me how in the world it ended up *there*!

Interesting!
The only male hairdresser whose name I know of right now goes by just one name: Fabian - yes, he even sings to his clients!
Names of hairdressing establishments: Hair Hut, Shear Perfection, Shear Excitement... and others that I can't remember right now.

I lean to the worldwide conspiracy
theory.
Dedham (a suburb of Boston, Mass.) has
Armando Cassano. Westwood (the town
next door) has Rocco & Salli. It also
has Salli & Rocco. (No, wait, that must
be the same place, as the phone numbers are
identical ) Norwood has Karen-Roberts.
There seems to be a gender gap, though.
Most of the places run by women just use
one name (Carol's Beauty Salon, Christine's
Beauty Salon, Jennie's beauty Salon).
If you'd like to read a juicy mystery in which
the murder victim is a hairdresser, try

Let's see, punny hairdressers.....
Well, In Norwood, there are two
beauty salons on the same block:
Dante's, and Alighieri's.
Dante Alighieri wrote "The Divine Comedy."

i got a haircut last week too, lady s
a bit shorter than yours tho, took about 6 inches or so off and layered after having all one length for the past 2 years.
i've been meaning to do some research for red dog's project for a couple of years now, but a quick search revealed a 'unique beauty salon no.3'. if it's so unique, why is it no. 3?

So much greta material in one day ..... I'm closer to proving my theory and am becoming increasingly convinced that the Anthony family has a genetic predisposition towards hairdressing. I'm updating my entry with the additions

Lady Scott Posted Apr 20, 2003
I suspect the Anthony's are not actually last names, but middle names instead. I could be wrong, of course. But that would be one way of explaining how it could be that so many hairdressers seem to have two first names.
