I'll take that as a compliment and say thanks!
And don't worry -- we're all in some way or another!
I checked out your site -- way !! So much more exciting than mine. I just go on about Russell Crowe being a good actor and incredibly hot...

You can call me TC Posted Jan 14, 2002
I'm too late to wish a happy birthday, but do join me in a anyway.
Now I'm off to check out STrider's home page. Why didn't I think of that before?
Happy Birthday!!!

Thank you, "Trillian Jr."! It's a big year (30!), so I'll be celebrating for a while!
Strider -- Do you mean the Lara part or the UFI part? The Lara is because I play the game, love the movie, and she's kind of become my alter-ego at work (did the whole Tomb Raider thing here at work for Halloween). The UFI part is because I am a fountain of Useless Information!

I meant both parts. I have to say, that is a very useful title to have! Well, actually, technically it's a very useless title, but you know what I mean.
Happy Birthday!!!

Happy Birthday!!!
Lara Croft (Fountain of UFI) Posted Jan 16, 2002
Thank you Moonglum!
Yes, Strider, I think it's the perfect title. I have a degree in drama and English education, but I work in the department of health, and I love to learn, so I have accumulated this vast fountain of UFI that I will probably never use, but it's fun to have...
Happy Birthday!!!
Evil Zombie Strider Posted Jan 17, 2002
Lets see... She has a degree in drama and English education, plays video games, spends lots of time online (I assume), and works for the department of health. What a fascinating character you are!
Happy Birthday!!!

Yes! Oh that is so me!! I'm a serious and have no social life!! What can I say? I'm 30 (man, what happened to my 20s?) and single, and I can count the number of single men I know on one hand (some of which I wouldn't date and the others I've known too long)! I know, I need to get out more...
Happy Birthday!!!

I'm guessing you're still in high school, Eccentric?
Happy Birthday!!!
Evil Zombie Strider Posted Jan 17, 2002
thanks. You've done everything! I assume (although knowing what I know about you, this is a rather dangerous assumption) that you taught either English, drama, or a combo of them. I don't have English this year. Only US History and Literature, commonly known as "Hitlist." It's a double class, and serves as my history and my english classes.
Happy Birthday!!!
Lara Croft (Fountain of UFI) Posted Jan 18, 2002
Well that sounds like it might be a rather interesting class. Certainly more interesting (and maybe a bit more "human") than History on its own. Oh, and you should be happy that it's US History and not Canadian History -- now that's boring!
Yes, I seem to have a rather extensive background (hence the Fountain of UFI)... I've taught; I've directed; I've done a bit of acting; I've done some costume/fashion designing; I've been a secretary; I'm an artist; and I do acupressure therapy. However, if I had the proverbial unlimited source of money, I would travel all the time and never do any of the other stuff. Just travel. I love travelling -- seeing the world and watching other people, other cultures. Fascinating.
Now tell me more about you! What do you want to be "when you grow up"? (That's in brackets because I believe only growing old is manditory; growing up is an option )
Happy Birthday!!!
Evil Zombie Strider Posted Jan 20, 2002
I haven't quite gotten to that part yet. I probably ought to, since I have to apply for colleges by next January...
I play my bass alot. I like that. Make photographs. I do very well in math, but I don't enjoy most of it very much.
In other words, no f***ing clue.
Happy Birthday!!!

Well, you have plenty of time to think about it! Don't feel you have to go to university just because it seems to be the thing to do. If you feel you need time off to work or to appreciate the world, do it. Otherwise, you'll be in college/university/tech school/whatever wondering why you're there and probably not doing as well as you would if you knew exactly why you're there. The other option is to go (make sure you want to be there!) and take general classes towards a BA. This helps in the decision of what to be -- you may find something you really enjoy that you never thought of before -- and all your classes will count towards whatever degree you decide to major in.
