For best effect, powder it finely (not using any metal implements!), and mix thoroughly with finely powdered sulphur and charcoal.

Yes, but think about all the babies that had to be powdered to make it. I don't mind, myself, as I've never felt particularly attached to small children, but I'm sure there are many people who would, at the very least, consider it politically incorrect.
