Ozrics at the Standard

Saw Ozric Tentacles at the Standard Thursday night, and what a mind blowing gig it was. loads of familiar tracks with just enough new stuff to really get me bouncing about. Major soundscapes, twirly floating synths, driving bass, and of course Ed's astounding guitar work with John's magic flute up front. The drummer was playing out of his skin, with such complex drum patterns it was almost hypnotic. I would recommend anyone to go see them if they get the chance. Music from a band of geniuses. Nothing more I can say! smiley - coolsmiley - wowsmiley - magicsmiley - starsmiley - starsmiley - starsmiley - star

Happy Bunny!

Just updated my Hi-Fi system. smiley - wow What a result! Crystal clear sound, and huge musical detail. Just what I was after. Music is a universal language, so the clearer it is, the better you will understand it. It's like listening to a whole new c.d. collection, lots of sounds that I had missed previously are now clearly audible.
Fantastic. smiley - ok

No need to STW

Over the last couple of days I've managed to chill out. I needed the last little rant smiley - steam, to stop my head from imploding. I tend to do this from time to time, and if ever I offend anyone, I can only apologise profusely and promise not to do it again smiley - grovel. People that know me (in RL ) know that I am a generally happy chap with a very high tolerance factor and a smiley - weird sense of humour ( "he's making it up as he goes along!"). Much, much, much, much happier now , hospital stuff stressed me more than I realised.
Anyway, on a lighter note bonfire night was fab with lots of whooshing, fizzing, phutting, and banging ( oo-er missus ) and a HUGE bonfire. smiley - biggrinsmiley - biggrinsmiley - biggrinsmiley - biggrinsmiley - biggrinsmiley - biggrinsmiley - peacesign

STW

As I sit and watch the news ( more death, destruction, mayhem, terrorism, and general worldwide nastiness ), I can't help feeling just a bit sad for the world. Mankind could do so much good, if it would only stop using all the wonderful technology it has for so much bad. please stop the world for a few seconds so that I can get off and go somewhere a bit more tolerant and peaceful.
Oh well we're all entitled to a little dream, maybe if we all had the same dream the world would change for the better.smiley - peacesign

Hospital

Had A few rather large needles poked into my spine Friday.
Not a pleasant experience, but as I write this entry (Sunday) they are already taking effect(permission to shout "hurrah!" at an irritatingly loud volume sir). Unbelieveable! virtually pain free after nearly six years of torment and interrupted sleep. Respect, and big up to the smiley - doctor for sorting me out. Got to go for more permanent treatment in February so thing are looking pretty good for an almost full recovery.smiley - biggrinsmiley - biggrinsmiley - biggrin
