Front page again!

This time, thanks to Gnomon, I'm very happy with the editing of my Flea Market rescue entry.

Just need to sort out my sick computer now. smiley - doh

Six months/three weeks

Can hardly believe it's 6 months since my big op. My hosp seems to do much closer monitoring of the new plumbing than most - have only had about 6 weeks without some sort of appt. I'm getting a bit fed up with measuring & recording input/output, especially if I don't sleep well. I may not be functioning quite as intended, but I can cope with it. Still lacking stamina but otherwise doing well.

Now it's only 3 weeks until we go to meet our new granddaughter! A bit daunting doing all the planning - medical supplies to take etc as well as all the usual organisation. I have been told I can take time off measuring while we're away - who knows, perhaps that will help make things work better!

Better check my 'to do' list .....

I'm on the front page..

..and I wish I wasn't.
For the second time, an entry of mine has gone through editing & come out worse, in my opinion, than when it went in. Unless the editorial process is improved, I don't think I shall write any more entries. I don't want my name attached to writing that I feel is of an unsatisfactory standard.

Rant over.

Plodding on

Having been anxious about how I'd be after my last general anaesthetic on Fri 23 Dec, I was pleasantly surprised to feel pretty good. I had a saline drip (possibly with something it it) which I didn't have before for day surgery. So managed Christmas OK, despite being bunged up with a cold & abdomen sore from coughing & sneezing.
I think I'd forgotten that I was still fatigued from the big op though & for the last few days I've been very lethargic. Post major surgery, post viral & post day surgery - what a combination!

New Year party at our neighbour's house this evening - be good to socialise a bit, even if I don't make it to midnight.

What does the New Year hold? Back to the specialist nurse & clinic - apparently no scar tissue or the like, they think my problem voiding naturally is too strong a muscle. Keeps me continent but won't let me empty when required. smiley - doh

Looking ahead, we're starting to plan a trip to Japan in the Spring to see our new granddaughter. If I still need catheters & night pads then, it will take up all our hand luggage allowance - wouldn't dare risk losing them en route.

Two singing concerts & some amateur dramatics on the horizon too. Should keep me pretty busy!

Signing in

Now that we have to sign in more frequently, I find I'm less likely to post here. I realise I can read without posting, but if I need to sign in, I rarely do more than look at my PS to see if there any new, interesting looking convos. Previously when signed in for ages, I'd be more likely to browse around & post.

Feels like a retrograde step, but perhaps this will be changed some day.

Perhaps some would say it's a good result!
