I logged in tonight under the wheels of the & changed it to a nice sticky GOO! Sent a message to donone1 (how on earth do you cope with typing that one in? does my head in! RhoMuNuQ is another; I'm sure they're lovely people, but give me a nice easy Z each time!

Thats ok feel free to change it to the vile brunel if you want, I used to use goo all the time then started having to use Al****er at work and it kind of stuck, I might try changing back for a while to see how much I like it, but then I might even try brunel... gosh things are changing.. I have trouble spelling both those names (thank god for cut and paste)

I've sent the girl concerned an e mail (she lives out of mobile rang and isn't on the phone but can check her e mail at work) and she hasn't got back to me yet I'd much rather do the phoning thing at least you know where you are with that!

I want to know how to create a link to H2G2 pages in my conversations; you know, where you can click on words in green and it takes you to another page. Sorry for being vague but I don't know what it's called. Can you help please?

If you want to link to another h2g2 page in a conversation you can just post the A number of the entry into the conversation forum.. like this - A870310

You can find an entries A number in the "guide entry data box" which is at the top of the entry...

Welcome to h2g2 glad you liked my page! so you're from Rhos on Sea is that that the place just down the express way from Colwyn Bay? if so I used to live there, (ros on sea that is) my family rented a holiday flat for the winter whilst we were waiting for a house to be built. 7 of us in a 2 bedroomed flat it was a bit of a squash..

I've tried typing in <./>De Myelin Nation</.> with all the wretched < signs and . and / in the right places, I can get it to go yellow, but when you click on it, it just tells you the page doesn't exist!
what am I doing wrong?

Hey, have you seen my flashy alien space now? The result of putting off his work & discovering the joys of GuideML (have a look at his page <./>Chan-Mick le Frog</.> )

This could be a very useful development, I can now let him cope with doing the pretty bits

I think I've sorted your problems with named enteries.. you can only do the </.> thing with certain entries.. they're listing here.. A692903 and most of them are "offically created entries" apart from the post and apparently it was very difficult for them to get named entry status..

Well - I didn't like to go that far! No - really - I'm impressed by your vast knowledge.
I have asked - don't know what they'll think of it. We should at least be able to have sleeping eyes for off-line. Much nicer than there just being nothing.

Don't be so pessimistic - you need to have more confidence in yourself!

There's confidence and realism isn't there! but I need to get used to it because I'd love to do a bit of writing on the side one day. Having given up my 14 year old style attempt to write a novel (realising it was I had the ideas but not the writting ability!) and deciding that the way ahead was to learn to write and get some experience of life so that I'd have something decent to write about!

Me being me I've not got much experience of normal life you see. just strange things keep happening to me!
