Bearin` up luv, shruggin` off the slings and arrows, and all that malarky.
Could do with a bit of w**k though....must do some chasing up soon.
Not that I actually WANT to do any w**k, you understand, but the cash would come in handy

I can relate... this broke student is for the birds... but I can either get a cheap job with the certifications I have now and delay everything else by changing to night courses or I can just shut up and continue school full-time then worry about actually earning money..

Suppose it depends on your point of view.
I think I would have done as you are doing..opting for the short route, providing I could afford to.
From what I`ve gathered, it`s an expensive business, getting the certifications you`re studying for.
Nothing comes cheap, does it? Not if it means anything, that is.

It is expensive... it's about $1000 - 1500 per class then about $200 per test... I took a student loan to pay it all up front to save money since my residual pay from when I was gainfully employed is coming in over time as they get paid by the cruise lines. It kind of makes the whole thing a lot more frightening since I'll still owe a ton of money, regardless of if I pass or not...

That`s heavy duty, fee wise, Batty, no wonder you feel that way.
Increases the pressure somewhat. You`ve gone the *in for a penny, in for a pound* route.
Well it`s one down, and however many to go.But it`s a great start, luv, that`s got to be encouraging.

Thanks. I'm pretty sure I'll be fine but the stress is driving me crazy. I'm a bit surprised that PC hasn't given up and decided I'm too much of a o to be around...

You have my sympathy, Cat.
On the upside I just completed my 'measureup' for my second exam. This means I can take it as soon as I get a test voucher and am guaranteed to pass.

Cool
Of course, I got me loan cheque today...but it's less han just me tuition fees, and they wouldn't give me any money towards paying thhose...they expect mumdad to stump up for the lot. SO I'm paying it off in one lump and they'll pay me back in installments- at least I can't spend everything in one go then
*hugs*

tis prolley best that way... I got my student loan in one lump sum. Well.. two actually since they sent my tuition directly to the school and the rest to me. Now I owe the ers a fortune so I had better pass and find a good job ASAP.

`Lo Batty
You should see some of my other stuff!
I`m a qualified airline pilot, a rabbi, an assassin, a captain of industry, a tv producer, to say nothing of my latest qualification, an honours degree in female impersonation.
The lot cost less than £20...
Despite which, I still keep hitting the "Logout" button by mistake...just done it in fact...then have to go thro` all the rigmarole loggin` in again..

accidental logout??? If I did that I'm not sure I'd remember how to log back in... it's been ages ya know..
I'm preparing to take my second exam, which will hopefully be tomorrow. Then my third on Monday or Tuesday. This way I can start focusing on the stuff I really need to study...
