This reminds me of an "Oh Canada!" cartoon from way back a long time ago on cartoon network: "But-the cat came back_ the very next day... the cat came back, they-thought he -was-a goner! but the cat came back the very next day (away) the very next day..." , etc.

No. It's about this man who lives in a one-bedroom house/apartment, and there's a cat that keeps stopping by and raiding his fridge and stuff, as well as hogging his chair. He tries all sorts of stuff to get rid of it: , dynamite, etc.

When he buys a new house, the surprise twist ending is that all 9 of the 's lives come down from up in the sky to bother him some more.
