Hey Treasure
Tell me about the snow and anything else you care to mention and I'll pick it tomorrow, I've nearly been up 24 hours and I'm no young thing, I'm done in
Glad we good, means a lot to me
Thanks

That was a *seriously* good post you made in that thread. Thanks from me personally and for the community too.
The snow is all gone now and I have to get on with my week now that everything is going back to normal

again at our non-clashing timetables
Prehaps I should give up on the idea real time yabber, we could be sort of penpals instead.
I'm off out with Hiccup today while I still have the use of a car, we are picking random places to go too
necks back a and again
Thanks

You still being an or so you have some downtime.
I was reminded today the lovely wine that I get when I'm lolling around Dorset *rummages around the cupboard and dusts off three bottles* Parsnip, rhubarb or blackberry, any take your fancy?
Went to Glastonbury yesterday, we walk up the Tor for the solstice and occasionally just for the walk but it's been years since we have been to the town. It's well touristity, which is no bad thing for the town itself, or the area and sometimes a little earnest with it's spiritual/lifestyle bent again no bad thing.
It just makes everything so hideously over priced so that's probably why we haven't been for so long.
We resolved not to spend too much money and just to bibble around as you do. We did brillantly for three hours, browsing in the shops, admiring the architecture and the art, people watching, just spending time together, we brought some insense, some aromatherapy oil for the oil burner, birthday gift for a friend, a couple of coffees and a (legal) herbal smoke for me, aids mediatation apparently...
Heading back to the car park with one last shop on the agenda, oh, it was our downfall. We brought a mask that Hiccup had been after for ages, no problem there, walked out and then her eye was caught by a pair of boots, they were gorgeous and custom made it turns out
So, designed a pair of boots, put an order in and it's beans on toast for a while. As we have to wait for said boots to made, this has been put down as a birthday presant
Anyway, beans ain't so bad, the house smells more hippified than usual with the cacaphoney of aromas going on, herbal smoke is pleasant enough and cheaper than baccy but I'm haven't felt my mediative side kick in yet. Probably not fair to pit it against the hormones so in the interests of science I have put it one side until they wear off
Love Peanut
Thanks

Oooh, blackberry wine for me please!
Handmade boots I was at a meeting the other day and I found myself looking at
It sounds like you had a lovely day
I"m not sure I'm being an OR getting some downtime
Thanks

mmm Blackberry, t'is a nice one, I've been tucking into the rhubarb myself, which has now started to make me think about 'crumbles'
I want blackberry and apple crumble, with my rhubarb wine
Thanks

With homemade icecream! Would blackberry be too much?
Thanks
Peanut Posted Aug 18, 2011
Well, so long as you do the 'home made' part of making the ice cream, I'll go for any flavour, so long as there is no chocolate involved, sparing you the detail of our home made attempts...
Blackberry ice cream tho , made with a decent dollop of cornish cream, would that be a push too far?
on that thought, I'm going to be an and tip off to bed, crumble and ice cream for breakfast me
Thanks

I'm going to bed before 1am today, no really
But first random story of the day, a cat has taken up residence in the campervan much to everyone's amusement. The radiator has been taken out because it leaked and we had left the middle seat up which gives you access to the engine from the top
Genius cat, squiggles up and makes itself at home, appears to be stray or lost for a long time, very placid in comparision to our other stray who is best described as skittish.
If we can't find who it belongs to we will keep it, although we will be evicting it into the garage.
and and

You might have to call it blackberry
I keep hoping a cat will move in with me but can't quite make the decision to go and find one for myself

This is my first free afternoon in ages and I really want to go out and enjoy the warm spring day but I suspect I will be having a nap that turns into a full afternoon snooze
Thanks

*puts on coffee machine*
Is it looking like a good weekend? I hope you have some free time to enjoy.
It's a gorgeous morning here, got up to make the most of it. I'm going to do some gardening before the rain settles in.
first though
The cats are looking good , the skittish one ate a flea tablet mixed in with her biscuits so she'll be feeling more comfortable, the placid one is a walk in the park, wormed and fleaed, eating regularly and loves being groomed, already looking much more dapper.
Thanks

I was eyeing up the blackberries today, and the sloes, niether were ripe enough but close
Apples looked great but t'kid wouldn't nip over a gate, the leccy fence, past the goats and grab a few...
Thanks

Probably for the best perhaps, given the timing might have been considered looting, with her Mum and 'co-parent' egging her on, the CJS and quite possibly the Daily Mail would have had a field day
I've been trying to establish some order to the garden, this time of year is a good time for some digging and tidying. Leave it too late and the soil is so heavy and saturated it is really hard work, start too early and the ground is so solid your spade bounces back at you
Are things springing where you are, or still recovering from the shock of snow?
