Three feet of snow? Yikes!
ITIWBS Posted Feb 10, 2013
15 minutes a day of sunlight helps to keep the seasonal affective depression away.
Bright sunny yellow window drapes also help.

It's a pity we can't upload photos to NooHooToo (yet). I would have loved to see your reports illustrated, paulh

I'd like to get a taller ladder, so it could lean against the house at a friendlier angle, and I would have a better angle at which to climb down.

You *climb* down? I thought men always hooked their feet round the outside of the ladder and slid down.
Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!

"Paul, I hope that the storms have subsided as reported today in the news" [Thinker]
The storm left, taking all its clouds with it. Yesterday [Sunday] was sunny, with blue skies. Today [Monday] is overcast with a light rain falling.
Yesterday I went to see a movie at the nearest shopping mall. Afterward I ate at a burrito place. I thought the day would be perfect, but when I got back home, I couldn't get into my own driveway because the plow had dumped snow at the entrance to it. The plow also blocked my front path. I had to borrow a neighbor's shovel so I could (a.) get the car back into its spot, and (b.) dig a new path to my door.

Some of it is unavoidable. However, I think you have to be clueless not to notice when you're about to block someone's front pathway. That part is hard to forgive.
I hope I was shoveling correctly. Given the sore muscles in my legs and butt, I probably was. The soreness in my lower back was already there. I had hoped to be able to ease the soreness with some swimming this morning, but the pool will have to open late or not at all because their parking lot is not yet plowed out.

The pool has reopened, thank goodness! I'm hoping to ease some of the soreness by swimming.

No icebergs, Pierce. This is an indoor pool heated to 85 degrees Fahrenheit.

The water is enough of an enticement now that the pool heater has been fixed. It was ten degrees cooler a weke ago .

That warm sounds like a hot tub.
Down here, we swim in an outdoor pool, but only in summer. Ambient temperature. I wish they'd invest in a heated one, I miss it.

Periodically the local roadways get partially buried in sand after flash floods.
Then the county sends out a man with a small bulldozer to clear the sand off the roadway.
The one who's been coming out in recent years has a thing about re-channeling the flow to make it run parallel to the roadway, with the consequence he's repeatedly washed out driveways of two of my neighbors across the street.
The natural channel made no problems for anyone.
