This was a pretty nice dream!

Someone had altered a movie theater so that there was a swimming pool where seats would otherwise have been. I could swim laps while watching the film.

I had one a few weeks ago where there was a canal under the subway system - you could ride, or you could go down a level and swim. In the dream, I swam about 40 city blocks.

Good point about , but the pool was freshwater. I believe that would slow down any saltwater species like sharks.
(Not that there aren't freshwater shark species, but I don't believe they get big enough to be worrsiome for us humans.

Prof, the swimming lanes go toward the screen. You can do the breaststroke or crawl going toward the screen, and one of the back strokes on the way back.
