I wonder if too many doctors would be a similar expression to too many chefs or too many chiefs.

It depends on who you ask. I have been a patient when groups of doctors would drift through the hospital and discuss my case. To me, they seemed like overkill, but the doctors themselves probably thought it was a valuable training exercise.

Ah, I see.

They probably had a bet on...'Let's see if we can drive this patient nuts...'

: "okay, if my theory turns out to be wrong you can drive my audi for a week"

No, it's more like, "how much unnecessary surgery can we make this guy agree to?" I almost had an unnecessary operation.

Oh geez.

Sometimes life throws you a curveball when you least expect it.

we may get unnecessary operations over here, but at least we won't have to pay for them ourselves

I'm sure there are at least as many operations thast *should* have been done but weren't, but when it happens to you, you're apt to be sensitive about it. <blush?

I tried to help massacre a cherry pie at my parents;' house a couple hour ago. The pie is still half unmassacred, though, and U din't know when they'll finish the job.
