Morning more like 
Just got back from a satisfactory footie match in Rotherham. Very nice to be back winning again after a short run of losses. It's a pity though that the traffic was terrible getting there - 6 and three quarter hours to do only 250 miles So I'm now knackered

My AVS are playing tomorrow night. YAY!!! YAY!!! YAY!! Ice hockey is my friend. I'm collecting the AVS mugs from a fastfood place out here called Arby's (roast beef sandwiches!!! YUM!!!) for Ian. Honest. Not for me. He doesn't have U.S. sized glasses, and I find that hard to manage. Ok, so they are for me, but I know he'll laugh and think they are cool. Because they are.
These glasses are even a bit on the smallish side.

Nearly seven hours from Rotherham to Brighton is pretty excessive

No it was Brighton to Rotherham that caused the problems.
- M25 lorry crash two days ago resulting in bridge damage two lanes out of four closed.
- Sheer weight of traffic around Heathrow and on up to M1 junction.
- accidents near Luton, Market Harborough and Nottingham
- 12,000 people all trying to park in the same grotty bit of Rotherham all at the same time
Oh, and I forgot to mention, it p*ssed it down for the whole journey.

Well, it *is* Friday. I had a journey like that once - from London to a little village in Derbyshire. I left Scratchwood Services at 3pm, and never travelled at more than 30 mph for the whole journey until I got off the M1 at Chesterfield about five hours later. No accidents, just Friday night rush hour traffic

It took me quite a long time to get back from Brum last night too - just the rain and the traffic really.
