It was OK once I took a deep breath and started - I had crib notes so I knew I would be OK

Talking in public is alright, but you've got to learn to enjoy it, and relax enough to do that... Then when you come to do it, there isn't any worry, or not as much anyhow I like talking in public/in front of class, lecture hall Was the best bits of my previous two degrees, giving talks/lectures Though I guess that was only cause I normally* have bumffed up on what it is I'm talking about

Yeah I enjoy it once I have started - providing I know my topic. This week the info was so new I only got my script half an hour before I was up there and thats not really enough time for me but I did know the audience well which always helps too as I knew how to make the messages relevent for them.

I sometimes get a little nervous beforehand, but it normally clears as soon as I've started Though that sounds like a lot more people than I've ever had to talk in front of (in one go)

Hello eveyone! How are you all?

What a week and what a weekend - if thre is no pace for the wicked I must have done something bad once! Had a typically manic week at work an had to pull some really long hours (so nothing unusual there ) Still most of the work got done

Went out for a working dinner on Wednesday which was fun and on Thursday I had to come down to London for a 'Celebration of the life' of the colleague of mine who died just before Christmas. It was a very strange affair - deeply sad an touching and jet happy too. It was in the cabinet war rooms. Definiely memorable - just like my colleague. Afterards we all did what he would have waned us to do - had a good time - meal and rather a lot of margatittas! My train did not get back to Brum until well after 1am

Friday I went to stay with friends - went for drinks and had a giggle butI was well ready for my bed by the need of the evening! Then I have been having a white van adventure ...

had to borrow a van to go and see my parents to collect some furniture that used to belong to my grandmother. Its now in the sitting room in need of sorting out before sitting becomes possible again!
