web sites and chicken wings

A strange week this, most of the time I was off from work. I spent a lot of time designing a web page/site for my record label type thing I run with the Big Mad Mr T and another person Dan. The address is in my main bio thing. Mr T is doing the site for one of the bands we're in and I'm doing most of the main page and the whole thing for the other band. It's quite easy but an odd thing, I keep starting to put in JScript or Cgi or something like that for no reason. Just because I think a web-page needs it I guess. Anyway, we're going to slow down on rehersals for a while because of exams and then we're going to record for a bit and release an album as The Pregnants. Dan and I are thinking of doing a Rap song or two with Mr T on the drums. In other news my job looks less and less likely to still be here in the future. Oh well I certainly won't miss night shifts.

Dull Geek Stuff...

Invigorated from my completed Fugazi entry I decided to make an entry on Perl. It's available from the bottom of this page I can't recall the link right now. If anyone wants to read it and make comments I'd be grateful.

I made an album...

nananana. Hmm, anyway my band and I finally finished mixing the album yesterday (a long story featuring high speed car rides and lots of freaking out the squares and seemingly almost infinite expense on my part) so we just have to publish it and then we can start watching the losses roll in. I am very proud of the playing and recording of the album even if the songs are, well a little weird. Well this month is all downhill from here smiley - sadface.

This Week

has been on the whole a good one. The key points have been recording some excellent (if weird songs) with the pregnants/poota, getting Black & White, Having a huge slab of time off and generally kicking back and relaxing.
The poota songs are really excellent, here is a snip of dialogue from the song "Milkshake"
Waiter : Good evening, Sir, Madam how may I help?
French Man : Allo, ah woud lak a meelkshek.(this is not intended to insult the French)
Waiter : I'm sorry our chefs do not have the training to make a "milkshake"
French Man : Wat du you min you cahnut make ze milkshake eet is so easy you just shek de milk.
(bongos begin)
French Man's girlfriend : Oh no, not ze bongos
Waiter : I believe I get it. You just shake the milk shake a shake-a shake the milk shake.
which is stark staring mad. Plus we recorded a song featuring bubbles being blown in water.

Black and white is one of the best games written ever and is dangerously addictive. I won't repeat what everyone else has said about it but rest assured it doesn't dissapoint.

the Inevitable Music bit
Fugazi - 13 Songs
Replacements - Pleased To Meet Me
Gorilla Biscuits - Gorilla Biscuits
Bad Religion - All Ages
Gang Of Four - Entertainment
Grandmaster Flash and The Furious Five - Adventures on The wheels Of Steel
Crass - Feeding of the 5,000
That's about it.
