h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Good News : For the next couple of days I can look at this page at work because:
Bad News : My company may be going bust tommorow .

But why does it mean you can use h2g2 at work?

Basically, we weren't allow to look at the Internet but no one cares anymore for obvious reasons.

I've just spent over an hour trying to find decent entries to pick for Editing... it's tough work, as all the immediately obvious ones get snapped up, so I try and find good but neglected entries. Which takes a while... (I'm a day past my deadline, tsk).

Some of our stuff yesterday was good (I listened to bits this morning) - especially Egg Schmuck and 9 Volt. Although I AM concerned about Dan's obsession with that pedal of his...

They don't tell me about the company . Oh well if I still have a job I may go and get Drum mics on Saturday.
I looked at that bourgeoise entry as I was passing through and it looked good. Reccomend it go on.
The pedal is extremely good although possibly overused. Have you made a collage of his racist remarks yet? That would be funny... Oh and how did the lonely boo sound?

Hmm... well, if you decide to buy drum mics I certainly won't try to stop you (physically, anyway). But seeing as we don't have facilities to really record two tracks of drums anyway, I wonder if we really need them? For recording Poota, I don't mind just using one (or two, if we can spare the mic or track) GOOD mic - one of the new mics picked up the drums really well for 9v, didn't it? Well anyway, it's up to you - drum mics would still be good for live stuff etc, but still.

I've not listened to Lonely Boo yet, but we've been discussing how to record it. Dan's got a load of scary sound effects off the internet we could use - and I'm thinking of making the drums sound Beatles-esque, so they come from just one channel (just left or right, instead of the middle. I think we're gonna keep the song pretty basic, and just layer on lots of freaky effects, silly voices and percussion! I can't wait.

Did you mention something about designing a Poota site with all your new skills a while back?

I was only going to buy one as we can't rely on the radio mics anymore. I don't think we could justify a big set of drum mics. So I was just going to buy another Shure 57.

I didn't say anything about a Poota site but I will be happy to make one if you want me to. Magical CGI effects and flash and similar things will probably make an appearance.
