It's time for my annual whinge

They're back: cluttering the place up with their sweaty cycle shorts and holier than thou attitudes.

Anything vertical that doesn't move will have a bike chained to it in 30 seconds flat. No railing today is safe!

Corner Shop

I've just popped down to the corner shop to buy the Guarniad and another disposible lighter.

In common with corner shops the length and breadth of this land, it's run by an extended Pakistani family.

As the weather today is nice and hot, three of the family's kids - lads aged about 6 to 8 years old - were outdoors playing outside the shop. They were running up and down the pavement shouting their heads off in Urdu. They were having a great time of it.

One was wearing a Rooney shirt, one in a Beckham shirt, and for the third one it was John Terry. Sweet smiley - footballsmiley - ok

Another tracker down

Apparently the Swedish police this morning raided the offices of thepiratebay.org and have seized its servers. That's a bit of a blow smiley - blue

Schadenfreude is a lovely word

Championship Play-Off Final, Cardiff, 21st May, 2006:

Watford 3-0 Leeds smiley - evilgrin

Poor old Leeds, they face a third season in the second tier of English football. They still don't own their own ground, nor anything else it seems to me, after having to hock the lot when their dash for growth went phut two years ago.

In fact it's going to be worse for them next season, as their two years of parachute payments - worth £7.5million per season - have come to an end.

As for Watford: that's great, they are in the Premiership alongside Sheffield United. This means that I will be able to combine an away match with a visit to my Uncle Dennis and Auntie Helene who live about 4 or 5 miles from Watford's ground.

Result smiley - biggrin

Bad day for an Audi driver

Parked on the double yellow lines outside my house there is a very posh looking Audi TT cabriolet.

- It's just been given a ticket by a traffic warden.
- It's been left with it's roof down, and it's pissing with rain at the moment.

Ooops!
