She died peacefully at 6am Xmas morning just as the
rest of the whirled was wakening to open their gifts.

Damn her irony!

Dead.

Ding dong the witch is dead.
Deceased. Passed off this mortal coil.
Beyond this veil of Liff.
Like a stiff parrot.
She is no more.
Gone.

She used to rant about an h2g2 bug that shows the
'eyes' open on pages of other deceased hootooists.
She would be mad as hell to known that now her eyes
will be opened when we visit her homepage (which
she left as a modest tribute to the end she knew
was coming).

I think the only thing to do is pop her on the 'Not the Official Deathlist 2013.' and make the annoucement a) more official and b) put her in her rightful place amongst the people we mark the passing of...it's what she would have wanted...and if it wouldn't have been...well, I haven't wound her up for so long...one more time for old time's sake!

I have some photographs of Effers from when we went on a protest march together - shall we organise a tribute in The Post?

At the Pope protests.
She's wearing a whimsical smile and a cigarette.

I lost track of that image and later I asked her to show
me where I could find it again but she seemed to ignore
the request at the time. It is definitively Effers!

I was gonna ASK for whoever took it to come forward.
If it's accessible online somewhere please post a link.

Not sure about a Post tribute. We (anhaga and I) have
been in touch with her friend Magda in the UK and been
given permission to add RIP Effers to our tags. I was
also planning a bit of a eulogy in a posting to her space
which I hope will otherwise be left as she left it.

For a lot of piddling little personal reasons
I only lurk in those Deathlist threads and do
not want to be subscribed.

But remember it goes in the 2012 list.
Dec 25 to be exact.

Funny how in my memory she had the
cigarette in her mouth. I looked through
that whole section from the Pope protests
remembering each image from the last time
I'd seen them and hoping I'd find the one
that apparently exists only in my mind.
But that must be the one.

Yes.

Theres another photo of me and effers together a friend at the same protest took. I'll seeif I can get hold of that one too.

We were sat in one of the parks heading over to the march. I had my sign propped up against the bench and I shared with her my 'energy boosting' dark chocolate hobnobs.

I'd just got a new lens so convinced her to let me test it out and take her photograph. She demolished the biscuit, lit that cigarette, and I took the picture.

Really sad to hear this news: I had noticed her absence and was actually going to post in Ask, asking if anyone had heard from her. I know we bickered like siblings at times but I think this place will be a poorer place without her. I'll certainly miss her.

Rest in peace Effers. Lord knows she deserves some.
