I have to learn to do 'crafts' today. It's all hands on deck for this Christmas box project, and they're scraping the bottom of the barrel with me.

No, they make parcels for kids in other countries. We throw in toys, writing materials, and practical stuff like socks, gloves, etc.

So this month, they need to get 300 washcloths and bars of soap together. Ivory, because it floats and you won't lose it in the river...and people are making washcloths out of terry, and some knitted out of cotton. Sis wants to teach us to do them on these little knitting machines, but she didn't feel well yesterday, so we'll do it next week.

Yeah, it is. And it's fun to put the boxes together when the year's over and you have it all together. Last year was 250, so we're trying for 300 this year.

Each box is the size of a shoebox, so they cram in everything they can and send them in shipping containers.
