In a perfect world...

I've been stewing my brain about infinity for a while now and I found a posting called 'Parallel Universes - the fifth dimension' really interesting. Sorry, no link, computer illiterate here.

If an infinite number of parallel dimensions exist, then that means that literally anything that is possible is actually happening in an infinite number of them! (I figure that infinite doesn't mean ALL, but a fraction of infinity is still infinite, as infinity isn't an actual number)

So, if every thing that is possible to happen is actually happening in an infinite number of universes, there are infinite universes where H2G2 is actually a reality.

It's like the infinite monkeys writing Shakespeare thing. If there are an infinite number of humans (and any other life forms), then things that are written may be fiction to one dimension, but because there is no end of universes than logically there must be one or more dimensions where it's fact, yes?

So, I figure that things that are fictions on this world are actually realities on some dimension somewhere. I'm probably just insane.

Feel free to gibber, or else just hurl abuse, I don't mind.

Anyway, even if it's a load of bulls**t it's a nice idea. Just imagine your perfect world, and believe that it exists somewhere. Now all we need to do is figure out how to get there!

I suddenly feel in need of a stiff drink!smiley - stiffdrink
