Gravity or electricity, which is better?

We had deep and earnest discussion in the Rose and Crown last night as to the relative merits of gravity and electricity. It was pointed out that all our electrical gadgets require electricity (why this should need pointing out is beyound the scope of this entry), but this argument was countered by the fact that if it weren't for gravity we'd all float off into space and be unable to operate our gadgets.

A fine riposte to this was that if it wasn't for electricity all the atoms would come to bits and we wouldn't have any space to float off into. However, I feel that the clinching argument was that beer is far better served by handpump or gravity, and not by electric pumps.

So, there you have it - gravity is better than electricity. QED.

Gravity is better

Well we came to the conclusion that gravity is better. This is because beer is best served by handpump or gravity, rather than electric pumps. I feel that this is an important point.

Just hanging around...

Well, it really is time I made a journal entry, but I just don't feel inspired. I had this trouble when I was younger - I'd get given a diary, and I'd fill the space for January 1st with drivel about getting up and writing my diary, January 2nd would say something like, 'Got up, did some stuff that's too dull to write down, wrote my diary and went to bed' - and that would be it.

Still I'm going to the pub tonight - perhaps I'll be inspired. I'm going to survey my friends to see which they think is better, gravity or electricity.
