Afternoon....

I feel quite spritely having only had 4 hours kip. I was woken by the sound of laughter, which wasn't a bad thing, at least it's betteer than Vultures in Jack Boots (sorry personal joke there....)

I was soooo out of it before exams last week, slept 12 hours in 120, five days of almost no sleep!

Been there done that, only most of the time I had a rifle in my hand and water in my boots....

I only had a carpet knife

The rifle only had blanks in, but this was made up for by the fact that I was stood in a slit trench with 6 inches of water in the bottom, in the middle of January, in deepest darkest Wales....

Sounds thoroughly unpleasant as well!

It was all done for Queen and country And YES it was unpleasant. Had one of my most memorable cups of tea EVER during that time. Strange the way one's memory works isn't it?

Oooh yes, I once spent Christmas Eve walking a colicky horse round and round and round a barn - the rancher's wife brought me the best chicken soup I've ever had

I never said it was good!! It was weak and tasteless, but just what the medical practitioner requisitioned - as they say in POSH circles!! (along with: It's no epidermis off my proboscis, Robert is youur Auntie's live in lover and fornicate my ageing footwear!!)

Didn't it get promised that we were getting a smiley at the last Nodnol meet? That was forever ago!!

I'm not sure this soup was good, it was just the best soup I've had... Really unfroze my fingers, and meant that someone else took Lucy for a while - I loved my horse, but not just then

( about those expressions!)

When my eldest lad was in the Scouts, I went ot one of the family days which culminated in a jolly good sing song round the camp fire, where I learned the "Posh" version of "Show Me The Way To Go Home".

I had an alcoholic beverage not 60 minutes hence,
And it's gone straight to my cranial aperatus.....

No matter where I perambulate about,
