Zadok the Priest
Posted Jan 15, 2012
This piece by Handel I think is the most wonderfully optimistic pieces of music ever written.
The actual Zadok words to do with the annointmant of King Solomon have been used at every coronation of an English Monarch since 973 of King Edgar at Bath Abbey. The words are used during the sacred annointment bit.

Handel wrote this piece of music forthe words for the coronation of George II 1727. It has been sung at every Coronation since.
To me the idea of actual annointment is to do with enduring power of life...(The King is dead. Long live the King).
Rudest Elf put me in touch with this site for music.

It is so overwhelmingly optimistic and well worth a listen I think.

My pressence apparently is such a problem for the Community
Posted Jan 15, 2012
That's what someone posted today.
Funny I got so many supportive emails then when I was *away* from the Community.
I shall carry on trying to face *reality* and speak out.
I love this place deep down.

Gassed...
Posted Jan 14, 2012
Went to the pub. No-one there hardly. Had half a cider.
Went to the shop.
After about a year of getting to know the new guys in my local shop...slowly. Tonight I discovered the ones on late I love especially are all Kurds from Northern Iraq from a village Saddam gassed.
I didn't enquire more. It's taken a year to get to know them.
But I'm obviously.
They have struck me since arriving in the shop as the most lovely friendly men. Very female somehow in their masculinity, and always so humorous and jokey. Always so nice to me. Easily my favourites there.
I am extremely choked.
I didn't dare ask any detail and won't.
Not everything was wrong about that Iraq War then. I told all of them that we Brits are their side...It was very emotional...but they looked pleased...
But to be honest I really didn't know what to say...

Ridiculous fantasy
Posted Jan 14, 2012
I have this ridiculous ludicrous idea that this site might become something really special.
People could really front up and talk to one another...close full on, but 'loving' underneath despite the frustrations.
A bit like what I experienced from several years of psychotherapy with a brilliant woman.
That honest communication started to feel the most natural thing in the world.
It was truly liberating.
Its the best thing in the world to truly meet others.
