smiley - ok Hi JEllen. Is that Kansas thing to do with the election?

I haven't been watching much news lately for psychological reasons.

Oh, no, actually it's a line from the Wizard of Oz. No significance at all really, except that I thought it was neat. Dorothy says she is from Kansas, and she had fallen out of the sky, so the Munchkins think Kansas is a star. smiley - star

'Toto, I don't think we're in Kansas anymore'

I'm not exactly a friend of Dorothy - more a friend of a friend.

Hi Effers! My back is doing better. I've been painting a lot this week. Working on a large abstract, and a small still life.

smiley - ok J Ellen. Good to hear. Big *and* small is good. I'm like that too. Small detailed, touching things, and big powerful things...

I've been doing a fair bit of photography lately with this excellent digital camera I just got. It also takes video and has a small built in mic, which I'm playing around with.

I'm still generally a bit hypomaniac. But it's less out of control than it was a few weeks ago.

Painting is good!

I've got a pretty nice digital camera, and it will take short video, but it does not have a microphone. I do wish it had more of a zoom on it.

I'm just getting over a stomach virus, and have no energy at all. *sigh*

Hey JEllen. Sympathy for the stomach thing. They do knock you for six.

Yes I'm into this camera big time.

I want to sort out at some stage putting something on the net with the material.

I'm still wide awake, as usual......This spring has been one of the worse for me for a touch of hypomania. I haven't been on anti depressants for the longest time in years.

I haven't been manic, but I've definitely been up. Getting lots of painting done, which is wonderful. As long as I can keep a rein on it and not go manic, I'm happy. I finished my vase painting, and traded it to my sister for a portable easel. Now I can go painting "on location", provided I don't get too hot.

Hey we all are lately smiley - laugh You, me and Ed. Though I'm less than I was a month ago. Eating is much better, but sleep still minimal. i haven't taken anti depressants for a couple of months now. The longest time in years. But the lamotrigine mood stabilizers are essential. I stop sleeping altogether without that.

I also have been doing a lot of art. Photography and video stuff. Good to hear your painting is going well. You must link to it, if you put stuff on web. i shall also when I've finished sorting that out. I've got some interesting ideas for a longer video thing. Haven't done so much art in nearly a year. I thought the 'drive' had gone forever. It's just so good to get it back and to be able to channel all this stuff into creativity as I've always done in the past.

Yes it's great to hear you're doing similarly in that area. You just can't beat it for satisfaction, I reckon.

Well I'm 'up' and fit as a fiddle. All we have to do is manage it: have the supports there to monitor us. Treat a crash if/when it comes.

I'm so so happy for you, JEllen. My dad had it 2 or 3 years ago. They said it was completely fine after his op and the biopsy which showed to be of a very unagressive type. He's still fine.

I can imagine what I would have felt in your place, had a similar thing happened to him. Talk about high after the low. You must be on cloud 9. Brilliant!

Hi there. My mood is smack dab in the middle, believe it or not! I'm not as high flying as I was a month ago, but I'm not depressed like I was about two weeks ago. I'm just bumbling along. Still managing to paint -- I've started one painting from the Wizard of Oz. It's a picture of Dorothy with Glenda the Good Witch of the North. I imagine that once I get to the faces, it's going to be very difficult. So far I've just painted the easy part, like the background.

I went to visit my brother today and took him some goodies including some ice cream. To celebrate. I think he was pleased.

How goes it with you?

Highish.

Am doing film stuff and photography. Sleep around 5 hours a night. But now the longest day has passed, I'll see. Other years, things start to go badly downhill after 21/6. But I don't think so this year.

Hey JEllen how is your painting going? And is your brother home yet?

Hi Effers! I've been feeling guilty because I haven't been painting much lately. I'm going through a depressive phase, so I guess I'll just have to be patient. I've got all these supplies I bought while somewhat manic, *rolls eyes*, and I feel like I SHOULD be using them. But mostly I'm sleeping.

My brother is home and doing fine. And I have a new grandnephew, isn't that cool?
