Yeah we were asked if we were buying birthday cards for our grandchildren at a store a few years ago. *sigh*

People have so much nerve. I would never dream of saying something like that to anyone who was not obviously over the age of 70. Just like I would never dream of asking a woman when she was due - even if she was quite unmistakably pregnant.
(Although I'll ready admit that I know grandparents my age and I know I could easily pass for pregnant whenever I wanted to)

Mr b could too. Last year before I had the baby my sister threw *him* a shower instead of me
It was the only baby shower I've ever been to with a 'guess the beer' game instead of 'guess the baby food' (I didn't get to play).

[Shea]
You could have turned the tables and said the cards were
for your grandparents.

I miss Ottox, too.
And I can't figure out how it is possible for us all to be p[osting in a thread that has been closed.
It makes me feel naughty to be posting here .

I think we should not rush to close this thread. It has some special memories for me, and I would like to remember them all. Yes, to remember my memories.....

I just want to say this about that, or maybe that about this, unless the that has become the this when I wasn't looking, namely that Red Dog's "Nothing at all" thread has been kept alive for years by mischievous researchers even though Red Dog wanted the thread to die a quick and painful death, which didn't happen because of those researchers, so if any of you want to keep *this* thread alive against all odds (and obviously against all common or uncommon sense), then please know that I and my friends have developed skills which be useful for prolonging the agony of this thread, and for keeping it alive indefinitely.
Any questions?
