Fantastic, got to go now, I am gathering the ingredients for your version of The Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster, if I survive I'll be back to congratulate you for your creative response, if I don't return you will know it has been a success.
Now we only have to keep Ford occupied for the next 5 years until he eventually finds and meets up with Arthur

Lintilla?!?!?!
Do you mean a relation from the radio series? Or just a galactic coincidence?
I'll respond soon, but I'm going to be busy up to Halloween

make what you want of it, it needs spicing up, this impro theatre is a good diversion , we must remember Ford has been given the task of finding Arthur Dent by Dirk, although it will be another 5years, you may have noticed Lintilla joined the company five years ago the same time Ford came to Earth, of course at this stage Ford should not know to much about the Lintilla problem as he is only aware of it later in the five part trilogy.

I'm going to a Halloween Party this weekend, we seem to ahve inherited all this trick and treat rubbish from you guys in the States, the trouble is in the UK some of the kids use terror tactics to insure a decent treat with diabolical tricks

Simetra my old salad spoon, how simply marvelous to hear from you! Sorry I havn't been more active old chap, all sorts of things cropping up at the last moment
Yes, I just saw that the old river has began to trickle through the trees once again. I shall read the new material, and should have an issue out about, oh lets say early spring, will that be good for you?

I'm thinking we could tie this into Thor having to count the stones in Wales, from "long, Dark, Teatime"
Thor can challenge his father and get all muddled, whilst our hero is caught in the middle
Yes, no, maybe so?

This getting quite involved, at sometime we will have to bring things to some sort of normality during his the time when he meets up with Arthur, although all sorts of strange events could be going on around Arthur during the five years of knowing Ford without him actually realizing. This is how this whole prequel thing started, Ford could not possiable spent 15 years on earth without some incidents.
I wonder if we should have a second sub plot going on about Arthur as we have only mentioned him once when he was 15 now he will be 2, what's he up to???? and what about Tricia Macmillan
Have made the lead with the Wales think

I mean't -15 now he will be 21, obviously not 2 unless some sort of Eddie in the Time Space Continum is had something to do with it

Sorry MBH, sometimes I get involved in the real world and have to do some work, hence I neglect the prequel for a few days, dissappointed that Jlaxite has not been posting needs input from others to avoid this being a two man show. I think maybe we are getting to stuck in parodies from DNA story lines so maybe we should start creating alternative charactors, such as Mavis and bernard who I quite liked, Ford needs to experiance the dull side of being on Earth, to many off world things happening, that's not to say we can't through in the odd alien, will look at your latest post and add a line or two.

Simetra my good man,
I have made my way back to hootoo, actually more like I dragged myself back through the 3rd dimention which kept me interminably busy; only to find myself locked out of my cyber alter-ego. I have also lost the link to the prequel. I was hoping to just pop back up and surprise all those involved, if indeed it is still a viable thread.
My rather roundabout point is, could you shoot me a link to the prequel?

Well I see you have already found the link, welcome back Murray, I don't spend so much time on hootoo these days although check-in from time to time and was pleasently surprised to see your return, facebook has a lot to answer for. Forgotten where we are up to with Ford prequel, may nee to read back a few posts, but hey, does it really matter as we can take it in a new direction. In to year 7 so maybe fast track forward to year 8.

Hi There
yah, it took some major backtracking to find the last time I posted. Facebook is STILL getting in my way here but I'm bravely attempting to work my way through it. I put a link to my FB page on the id thread, friend me by all means.
Yah, the story did seem to be on it's back, with it's legs just barely twitching....and I'm not convinced it shouldn't just be stepped on to put it out of it's misery or we could revive it. I's getting rather close to when he meets Arthur, and those times are by definition rather dull...unless he has adventures unbeknownst to the hapless protagonist.

The problem is I'm a little rusty on the old Hitchhikers mythology, would need to read my books to reboot my memory, although perhaps getting things wrong might help sort the story. Will check out your facebook
