h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Just thought I would put the updates and progress in here rather than in bits and pieces all over the place.

Story so far: Last week I filled in all the forms and we had the induction. We also covered things like cover letters and CV's. Although I had already done a CV workshop back in March we have to do things their way and I found out that each place has it's "own" way of doing things.

Today I have done 23 cover letters and sent them off to various places so now its a case of waiting to see what happens.Will keep you posted of all the news of the replies and so on.

Tomorrow I have to sign on so I am not at TNG again until 9.30am Thursday.

Well, its just been a case of sending out more and more cover letters. So far I have had 2 replies.

One sending me an application form, positive result.

One sending me a list of all job vacancies that I didn't apply for and am not qualified to do. At least they did reply and all those vacancies have now been listed with TNG incase someone else can make use of them.

I've been told that the next time they want me there is at 9.30 thursday and friday of this week. So we shall see what happens next.

Thanks Prof, don't worry. The people down there are alright, luckily they have a sense of humour.As in today the guys got locked out of the gents toilets. You have to go outside where the offices are and the ladies is on the same level but the gents you have to go through a code locked door and upstairs, but the landlord had changed the code on the door and had not told them.

err! I bet that p'd them off

I think it would have but we let them use the ladies if when needed

in the hospital, the public toilets are near the main entrance, you can't use any in the "ward" areas, but if no one around, we nip in the one in his room (a 4 bedder)

I don't blame you hun, it can be one hell of a walk and back plus quite abit of visiting time gone by the time you get back.

Well, loads of making calls this morning( thank God it's not my phone bill).

Good news, for a change as I have an Interview tomorrow at midday, WOOHOO, go me!

Got to be in the office for 9.30am for interview technique training ( plus inspection to see if I pass the grade)

I went to the hairdressers and got my hair done Just wait til I go to the office tomorrow morning they are in for a shock
